Good supervised fun but no chance my guy will fit in it for long
The good: My 6 month old baby boy loves to rock out in here. I'm very glad I didn't get one with MORE "bells and whistles" because the stuff on this one is plenty, in fact i don't even use all the attachments at once because he gets overwhelmed. I can't imagine the overload from one of the crazy ones that costs more. This thing is plenty entertaining and it totally wears him out.

The bad: At 6 months old and only 70 percentile in height, he is (according to the instructions) already supposed to be on the highest height setting so that he's on tippytoe not flat footed. So that seems rediculous, he would outgrow on height almost immediately. Also, because he's still pretty lightweight it seems top-heavy if I put it on the highest setting AND it also seems uncomfortable because then he is "hanging" from his hips too much and not actually practicing standing -- so actually i put it on the middle setting and just sit right next to it and watch very very carefully to avoid any chance of him accidental flipping it. (He can definitely really get it rocking and rolling!)
Good toy!
I bought this for my daughter when she was 5 months old. She has really enjoyed it. Didn't take me too long to put together. Has a lot of interesting toys to keep her busy!
PIECE OF CRAP...DANGEROUS...DON'T UNDERSTAND ALL THESE GREAT REVIEWS!
I bought this exersaucer just yesterday after giving the Evenflo Smart Steps to my in-laws since they watch my son during the day. He's now 6 months old. We put it together, did everything right (I'm a nervous new mom and VERY careful) and one of the legs collapsed and my son nearly got hurt. I have trust in Evenflo since I love the Smart Steps Exersaucer but not any more!!! I returned it and exchanged it for another one thinking, maybe this particular one is just defective....but this one collapsed as well!!!! Same thing, one of the legs just came loose. Again, my son was almost seriously hurt! I cannot even believe they have this on the shelves. I'll be calling Evenflo to complain and make them aware of the danger involved with this product! Please spend a little more and get a different one for the safety of your child!
Great product, easy to transport
Bought this for my 9 month old daughter to use when we travel to friend's houses or places where we don't want to hold her the whole time. This keeps my daughter amused for quite a while and allows us some time to relax. She will probably be too tall for it in a few months but for the time it can used it was worth the price. This is very easy to put together (no tools needed) and we can transport it very easily (has a convenient carrying handle and is very lightweight)
happy baby!
my 5-month old loves this and so do we. it's easy to assemble, sturdy, and has lots of colorful toys that my baby loves to play with and chew on. she even prefers it over her jumperoo (which comes with lights and music and retails for twice the price).

Great baby entertainer
I received the Baby Einstein discovery center (we call it a saucer) as a gift for my daughter when she was 6 months old. She loved it from the start! At first she just wanted to get all the toys into her mouth and I did have to remove the purple medallions with animal photos because the paper photos were peeling off. Now at 7.5 months, my baby loves to dance to the music from the piano toy. I've heard the three tunes many, many times over the past month and they still don't grate on my nerves. Some reviews have mentioned that the toys fall off, but I haven't seen any pop out of their sockets. As for tipping over, I haven't seen the saucer come anywhere close to falling over. However, when my daughter became tall enough to push hard against the bottom (she would try to lunge and jump) we raised the seat so she could only touch the bottom with her toes. This is what the directions say to do, but I could see how a strong baby could lunge hard enough to topple the whole thing over if the saucer was set too short. (My tall 7.5 month old is already at the highest setting so we'll probably have to retire this toy in another month or so.) Also, I have always used the stabilizers so it doesn't rock. Regarding the stabilizers, we noticed a defect in the way the plastic was molded so that one of the stabilizer feet didn't fit correctly into the slot on the bottom of the saucer. The original saucer we received as a gift via Walmart online had this problem so we exchanged it for an identical item at a local store. The new one had the same problem! We tinkered with it for a while then just jammed the plastic foot into the slot as best we could. The defect doesn't affect the toys or anything the baby can get a hold of, so we figured as long as the saucer remained stable it would be okay. We haven't had any problems with it.
Pleased
I like this exersaucer. It has a lot of stuff on it which my baby enjoys and I like that it has 3 levels of height. The only con is that it does not collapse easy. You can take it apart but the pieces are hard to if not impossible to take out.
Toys Falling Off
This is a very colorful and seemingly fun exersaucer at first glance. However the toys CONSTANTLY fall off and leave my 5 month old very frustrated. I went back to the store and examined the floor model and it seemed very sturdy and well made......I just wonder how I wound up with a model that is so poorly made!!! I paid around $70 for this and I'm going to try to take it back. It seriously is a PIECE OF JUNK!!!!
great toy!
This is a great toy for when you need to get something done (like laundry, dishes, vacumming, etc.) but don't have hands to hold the baby, or you don't want her on the floor. It's also a good learning experience; my 5 month old daughter seems so deep in concentration when playing with the attached toys. There's a good variety of skills needed for the different toys, and the "piano" is a huge hit! My daughter gets so excited when she pushes the buttons and makes a song start!

I'm also happy that the seat is machine washable and can go in the dryer. Only thing I wish I'd realized is that the seat doesn't bounce...just spins so the baby can face all the different toys. Still, she doesn't seem to care that her seat isn't bouncing; she's happy enough with the toys.

I recommend this product!
Wonderful toy
My 5 1/2 month old daughter absolutely loves this toy. She is extremely active and this is just about the only thing that keeps her attention for longer than 15 minutes! The moment I put her in it for the first time, she started banging on the piano and singing! She figured it out really fast aswell, she'll play with the 2 toys in front of her for 5 minutes or so, then turn around to something else when she starts to get bored. Her favorites are the piano, the giraffe, and the pandas. I do wish the lion puppet with the drum actually made sound, because my daughter loves to hit drums. I'll sit her on my lap with a djembe or darbuka and she'll bang away- and she can keep time! Very musical little one. Some parents expressed concerns about how easily it can tip- I see this potential, and that is why I play WITH her as opposed to using it as a baby sitter. I sit right next to it and interact with her, applauding her music and putting my hand in the puppet and such. If I do go even a few steps away from her, I put pillows all around the base just in case, but I would never leave her unattended in this or any toy. Some babies might not have a problem with this, but she is a big girl and doesn't hold still- she is constantly bouncing and dancing, and she's 28in tall and 18lbs.

Fun for the money! (Good for GERD- acid reflux)
My 4-month old enjoys this saucer. We use blankets in the seat and foam under his feet for support. At first, he could not reach or manipulate the toys that came with the saucer. I would see where he was looking, and I would show him how to use the toy. There are plenty of loops to add extra toys, and we used "lots of links" to get a variety of toys within his reach. Over the past two weeks, he has figured out how to reach for and play with almost all of the toys that came with the saucer. He is completely concentrated when he is in his saucer - learning how to use his hands, lean and spin the seat around.

We got this because I need to keep him up for 20 minutes after he eats to avoid acid reflux. This is one fun activity he can do while he is upright. I also read some advice from a pediatrician to a parent who's child hated tummy time. They said get a saucer, and the child will strengthen their upper body making tummy time easier.

This saucer is a lot of fun for a good price. My son likes the toys that come with it. However, if you don't - you have about $150 difference in the price from the other saucers to buy ones you do like. Just link them on!

The only strange thing about it is that they have a teething toy at the top of the overhead bar. The baby would have to do a pull-up to use the teether?
Activity Center - Colorful
Bought this and another brand at the same time.
This is definitely colorful and like the "eye-bolts" to attach their favorite toys.
The "bouncing" part isn't as much fun as another brand.

Would be nice if the height adjustment wasn't an afterthought.......
Not exactly what I was hoping for.
I purchased this for my 5 month old daughter thinking she would love it, but the toys on there are out of reach for her and the 'arms' do not bend so she can't pull them toward her to chew on them. So she gets frustrated and cries, so this does not keep her entertained at all. Basically when we do put her in this, we give her other toys to play with since none of the ones on this are very practical at all. I would not recommend this one.
So great!
My daughter was 4 months old when I ordered this. She was starting to get bored with the mats and bouncy seat. This toy keeps her so entertained! She loves that she can turn herself to the different toys. She isn't quite heavy enough to use the jump pad part of it, it won't go down under her body weight, but she really doesn't care. She jumps anyway. The only issue I had when putting it together was that one of the little feet that keeps it from wobbling (which is optional, they fold up to allow the toy to wobble) would not fit in it's little slot. No big deal, my daughter enjoys the wobble!
Not too bad other than a few design flaws
This is a great activity center for my 4 month old. That being said, there was a design flaw that I encounterd during assembly. When I was trying to put a part of the legs on, there was huge chunks of plastic covering the space where the leg stoppers where suppose to go. I literally had to take my knife out and carve out the plastic to make the leg stoppers fit correctly. Because of this assembly time went from around 5 minutes to over an hour of carving. After that was fixed everything else was great. My son loves the toy, but it was a pain in the you know what to put together. Oh and btw, its not a bouncy just a play center.

My 4-month-old cannot get enough!
I bought the "office" when my son was 3 months old. He was too little, so I put a wii board underneath his feet and placed him in the seat, stabilizing him with my arms while he practiced standing and only stared at the toys. He mostly enjoyed the standing part. A few days later, he started grabbing the yellow sun and "talking" to it. As time went on, he warmed to the other toys. And, the day he turned 4 months old, the flip SWITCHED and he suddenly fell IN-LOVE with the entire center. He figured out how to activate and interact with all of the toys, he spins himself around, he gets so excited that he starts yelling with joy! When I play with him, he will play in the activity center for 20 or 30 minutes. And if he is playing by himself, he is entertained for about 15 minutes, which is far longer than any other toy or activity.
Baby Einstein Discover
Grandson took to it immediately and looks for it as soon as he comes over. Even though he was 4 months when it arrived it reduced down low enough he could sit up in it and touch the base as long as I put a towel or blanket for his feet since he's not into wearing shoes yet.
Great Product
Very satisfied with this product. Did a lot of research before buying it and compared to the others that are cheaper, this is way much better. Colors look brighter in the pictures, but still cute and nice. Toys are nice and the circle part has sounds, music and talks both English and Spanish languages. The seat seems comfy and rotates, I actually feed my daughter while playing with the toys sometimes. Very easy to clean.
Best exersaucer I've seen
My daughter loves this! We started using it around 4 months (when her back and neck got nice and strong) and now at six months she still loves it and uses it every day. She plays happily in it while I am getting ready in the morning and when I am working in the kitchen in the evening. It gives her the opportunity to be upright and see what's going on, but have a good way to entertain herself as well. The older she gets the more she enjoys it because she can do more of the activities herself instead of needing me to show her how. I shopped around a lot and this is the best one I saw. Some of the activity centers really don't have much on the tray for the kids to do, play with, or learn. This one is really great. Oh and for some reason my daughter loves the alligator puppet. She will sit and kiss and talk to it forever.
First Timer
I wanted my son to have a variety of materials to touch while playing. All of the exersaucers I saw in the stores had objects made only of hard plastic (probably to make it easy to clean). This had soft toys and hard ones that all made different types of noises. I am very pleased with it!! The volume on the music/animal sounds is kind of loud even on the lower volume setting.

exersaucer
My daughter loves this exersaucer. It keeps her occupied for at least 30 min. She got it when she was 4 months and it helped her with her balance. Now that she's 6 months, she's discovered all the activities to play and learn from. I find it to be an excellent toy and learning tool for my child.
Definitely Durable!!!
When I was looking for an ExerSaucer, I read all the reviews and had a recommendation from a friend for this one. I loved the ABC theme! My son fell in love instantly and would spend forever playing in it. He loves it so much, we take it everywhere with us. On the way to our boat it accidently fell into the ocean. I yelled "Oh No"!! It has become that important to my son. We fished it out and can you believe the electronics still work! It's the super ExerSaucer!!! It's a little hard to assemble, but so worth it!
Not too happy with this
As a reference, our Son is 5 months old. He weighs 20lbs 15oz and is somewhere around 28 inches tall.

We started off with a fisher price jumperoo. Our son really loved to jump around in it but it lacked toys. One of the three springs was also faulty and so we have mailed it off to Fisher Price for a refund.

We purchased this exersaucer as a replacement for several reasons. The first being that it could be used for a longer period of time; our jumperoo was already at the 2nd setting and our son was getting close to maxing out the weight limit. After setting up the exersaucer the boy is already at the highest setting so it looks like it won't be useable for that long either. The second reason we purchased this was the extensive amount of toys. There is a ton of stuff on this thing. After setting it up it looks like there might actually be too much stuff on here. Even after you remove a few of the removable toys it is still a bit much. The objects that you can pull down on to make noise are mostly smooth plastic with no handles. Our son gets a hold of them but I don't know why they didn't make them easier to grab. This toy does not bounce, especially not like a jumperoo. The jumperoo, while it has less stuff, had a single on/off switch and volume control. It also made noise when the baby jumped, not just when he interacted with something. This is probably more amusing for younger kids who haven't quite figured out how to grab, pull, and hit things to make noise. The exersaucer is loud! Some of the toys are unsettling. I accidentally hit the car toy in the middle of the night and the disturbing laughing children was creepy.

When you add in the fact that this thing feels like it might tip over with a good bump (we have a 160lb newfoundland who is clumsy) we will be exchanging this for another jumperoo. It looks like the jumperoo might last him another 2 or 3 months where this thing won't last another growth spurt. The newer jumperoo has plenty of stuff on it and since it was the same base as our old jumperoo, we know that it will be more stable.
Entertaining but can't use hanging arch...
We bought this for our baby when he turned four months old. The toys hanging off the arch hit our baby in the back of the head when he bounced around. I assumed it was because he was young and very unsteady so I took it off. At five and six months now, it's no better. Still hitting him in the head.
My Baby loves this thing!
I have had this exersaucer for about a month now and it is a hit. I was hesitant to buy it because we have enough junky-looking plastic stuff for babies in our house already, but my four-month-old was terribly hard to satisfy and pretty much refused to ever be on her own for 5 minutes so that I could snarf a sandwich down or empty the dishwasher. She is super active, wants to stand (be held up) up all the time, and at the time, was generally discontented with her toys most of the time. I bought this in desperation hoping that she'd be happy in it when I need a break and indeed she is. She'll happily spend 15 minutes in it before getting bored and that's all I was hoping for anyway. It has very bright colors and plays a variety of music and sounds, which my daughter likes very much. She was fitting in it at four months, but she is a little tall for her age. I think it would be too large for a baby smaller than 25 inches. But it grows with a baby so she'll be able to use it for a while. Some of the toys are too high for her right now, and some of them are a little advanced for her as well (there is a fake mp3 player that plays a couple songs if you can believe it). I am only giving it four stars because it is a pain-in-the-neck to assemble (about a million parts!) and I think some of the toys on it stink. There is a random apple with a worm in it that really doesn't DO anything and is too big to chew on so I guess it's just to look at. Not fun. And there's a school bus that also isn't too cool; it makes a sound of children laughing but the button is hard for a baby to push and it doesn't move or light up. The other toys are good though some are too advanced for my baby who is now 5 and a half months. Be warned that you need LOTS of batteries for this thing (12 I think). And each time they need changing you have to detach the individual toy and unscrew two tiny screws. Overall though, we like this saucer very much. I have collapsed it and taken it with us to grandma's house before and it's not difficult to do so that's a plus. You can swap out some of the lesser-fun toys with the Evenflo "switcheroos." And most important, it keeps the baby happy!

@Uh-oh: Twoddler lets toddlers send tweets

If orangutans can piling photos to Facebook , then toddlers can certainly Twitter.

And now they have a prototype gadget for doing that--the Twoddler, a tricked-out Fisher Cost out Activity Center with pictures of family members and friends attached and an Arduino board inside.

When a child presses a unfluctuating picture for a select amount of time, software captures sensor data from the activity center and selects and sends a predefined issue related to that data.

For example, when Bobby plays with Mom's picture for more than three minutes, a Twitter message will post to Bobby's individual Twitter account saying, "@mommy_bobby Bobby misses mommy and looks consign playing with her this evening" (or as the messages get more refined and personalized: "@mommy_bobby Bobby is having a harden tantrum and wants mommy home now ."

Twittering toddlers can also communicate with their social-networking peers by pushing buttons that procreate effects, such as colored, blinking lights, on their friends' Twoddlers (a scenario that could easily turn day-care into a disco). Twoddler is connected to the Internet and to other activity centers using the harshly area networking standard ZigBee .
