Fun to fly but hard to trim rotation
Syma does a great job of bringing these flying machines into your hands at very affordable prices. The helicopter requires a line of sight to control it due to the infra-red control emitter.

Fine tuning the flight controls so you can get a perfect hover is somewhat difficult due to its light weight and powerful little motor. As compared to the Syma S107, the UH-60 Black Hawk still has a few issues and I would recommend the metal framed S107 over this model.
Fantastic!
Always wanted something like this. I seen one at target that was similiar for about 25 bucks, but did not pull the trigger. got home jumped on amazon and seen this for 19.95 and bought it. it came 3 days sooner than tracking predicted. The copter itself is awesome, hard to keep trimmed to fly exactly as you command it but you can manage well enough. so far I have pissed off the wife and 2 cats. the new puppy loves it too, not so much when I land in front of him while napping then taking off down the hallway with him following full steam. wish the flight time was longer, but for something so light and easy to fly its worth it. the wife is a natural ( better than I ) she wants her own now...
Fun for Father and Son
I bought two of these helicopters for my 17 year old son and 47 year old husband's birthday. They are having loads of fun. The chopers rise and fall rapidly and hit the floor, but do not break. They are tricky to manuever. My only problem was that I bought two so they could fly them together, but apparently as they are the same models, they can't fly at the same time. This was a bit disappointing, but doesn't take away from how well the helicopters work.
Big things can come in small packages
This is a great helicopter for anyone to use indoors, it is small but there are some big advantages to that. It is simple to fly and is so light it does not damage to itself or furniture. More than other helicopters I have had it seems to move away from obstacles, the prop wash is enough to push it away from the item. I have hit less items (my wife is very happy), and the helicopter still looks new after many hours of flying.

I have had no problem with lights interfering with the IR controls and the proportional input works better than most RC controls - a big reason it is so easy to fly. The only drawback I have found to this model is that it is difficult to trim the helicopter to keep it from spinning. You need to keep a close watch on the rotation even after you have trimmed it out. I just use the main rotation control, and try to minimize the trim adjustment since it does not seem to last long enough to justify the time it takes to trim.

Great model for the beginner or a younger child - you will be happy with this one!

A great toy, I love it...
I got mine yesterday. Couldn't put it down last night, played with it for hours. Crashed 100 times but no problem at all. I am getting better and better in flying it. A great helicopter!

Absolute Junk
It will only keep a charge long enough to fly for about 3 minutes and it does not fly well at all. I saw this toy on a TV commercial and should have known better than to purchase it. Complete waste of money.
Fun, but broke
This helicopter was really fun to fly while it wasn't broken. One of the blades chipped and now won't lift. Haven't figured out yet if we can get a replacement blade or not. We've been busy with some other things and haven't had a chance yet to check.
Sorry, but this product is worthless...
Unfortunately, the price should be $0. Reason: It is designed for kids, but when kids use it, it is not mechanically designed to survive the first day of use. Therefore, the joy when it's put in service is turned on its ear as your child (10 in my case) spends a bit of time with the product. It's a sharp looking product, perhaps it belongs behind a plexiglass box - admire but do not touch! Regards.
Great product, but very shortlived
This is a great toy and our 3 year old absolutely loves it (I think I enjoy it more than him). You have to hand it to the manufacturer for developing truly unique products. The 2 main issues with their products, and this one in particular, are:
1. Price - These are ridiculously overpriced. The materials used certainly don't give the feel that this is a $60-70 item. That said, I understand it is a unique product so they need to make money too.
2. Lifespan - this kind of goes hand in hand with price. If the toy was durable, I think the price would definitely have been acceptable. However, having been through 7-8 of these in the last year, I know that they really don't last more than a week. If you are super careful, maybe you can get another few days, but that's about it.

Overall a novel product, but I hope they can improve the product quality to make it more durable.
Hogs are hogs
Firstly you get only one where the picture makes you think you are getting three. It broke immediately. Very disappointed child, very disappointed Aunty. Stay away form this low quality item.

It crashed within 30 seconds of its first flight.
It is very fragile. We spent a lot for 30 seconds of flight max.
Good but not great!
Hi

I have a Syma S007 helicopter and I liked it so much that I bought one of these.

I wanted something that I could fly outdoors and the S007 with the infrared controller just won't work in the sun.

I was quite disappointed at first.
This thing doesn't have anything like the controllability of the S007 and it will not penetrate into even the slightest breeze. I mean even a breeze you can't feel.

I started adding weight to the front and that helped a lot, but by the time I got up to 2 .45 caliber balls from my muzzle loader the weight was taking it's toll on performance.

I got around this by putting one .45 cal. lead ball on the end of a stalk that sticks out from the front of the helicopter about 3 inches. What a difference I can fly it all over the yard now, it will both penetrate into a very light breeze it is much more controllable when turning.

If you try this make the stalk out of something flexible that won't break when you hit the ground.
I used a piece of that black plastic shrink tube that you use for electrical connections, I fit the ball in the end and shrunk the tube around it, then taped it to the bottom of the body.

I'm still experimenting with the weight and length of the tube, but I was able to get in 3 flights today that didn't hit anything. My back yard has a lot of large Oak trees in it and I have to stay below the branches over head.

I'm looking at getting a Syma S006G witch ads a gyro, larger tail rotor, and a turbo button that will make the tail rotor run faster for outdoor flight.

I would recommend that if you are thinking of buying a S006 that you look at the S006G instead.

alloy shark
The alloy shark has the potential to be a lot of fun. The only complaint and it is a major one is that the helicopter does not turn or go forward or backward.
Oustanding trainer!!!!
I recieved this for christmas and was amazed. I flew it for a good hour the first day (even with having to charge it) and by the end I could fly around the house. This thing can take a beating. My blades have alot of dents in them but it doesn't effect the heli. The one piece if advice I have is tiny wind = no flying because it cannot fly forward fast enough to push back against a 1mph wind. It is very durable, I had it out in my yard and was flying at top altitude (about 150 feet) when I lost contact and it dropped landed in 1 foot tall grass and emerged without a scratch. If you are looking for a cheap but cost efficient way of getting into this hobby go for this!!! A great heli in my book.
A nice time-waster!
A replacement wing set is almost a necessity immediately after buying/flying the helicopter. The wings are very delicate. But! I found that a taut layer of electrical tape works great for repairing broken wings, too...

Flight in general is very finicky -- the copter likes to rotate around in a circle. My advice for flying is to always have a *very* light touch on the directional control (on the right side) if you don't want to dig into the copter's circuit board to tweak how sensitive the signal is.

Battery life, on average, is somewhere around 10 minutes -- but not typically more than 15min. However, the copter only takes around a half hour to charge back up.

Durable and easy to fly little heli
I've had a number of micro RC heli's and also have a 250 size 6-channel heli. I think of them all this little Syma s032 is the most fun and easiest of them all. The gyroscope makes flying it nearly "idiot-proof" since it stabilizes itself as soon as you let go of the stick. So forward motion it automatically arrests etc. Makes it very easy to fly I fly it through obstacles etc in the house and have taken it outside as well. It is VERY sensitive to any wind. Even wind you can't see/feel it seems to be bothered by. One of the things I didn't like though was the range is nowhere near the 50m they claim. I took it out about 50-80 feet and it was doing fine when it suddenly lost the signal and dropped out of the sky. Another good display of its durability though as it was completely undamaged.

Overall the helicopter is very easy to fly and does a great job. Incredibly durable, I've never had a helicopter sustain anywhere near this much abuse without any breakage. Flight time is reasonably short, about 5 minutes or less, and it charges in about 30-45 minutes usually. Not bad though for quick occasional flights on a whim.

It would be nice if you could have more than one batter and swap them, but the battery connector doesn't match the wall charger and it takes some effort to change the battery out, so that is not very feasible with the overall design.

Great little durable heli that I definitely recommend! I'll be buying some more of them for christmas to gift to some family members!
Add A Part Missing From Syma S032
I Purchased The Syma S032 Thinking it would Fly Like My Syma S107. Well, at first I thought : "Hey This sucks!" It didn't fly like my S107. It Kept Trying to Go To The Right. No Matter what I did in trim it still would not lift off like the S 107. Until.... I took a long look at both Helicopters. On The Syma S 107 there are two ball link connectors and on the S 032 there is only ONE!! Well, I purchased a couple of extra parts and added the link...VIOLA!!!! It Flies as Perfect Now as The S-107. I suggest if you purchase this Helicopter, look it over when you get it and purchase the link if it is not there. The Manufacturer and Sellers, should take note and add that part for buyers. It's a cheap add on. (I suggest include it at no charge) And you will have as Happier Customer!!!
Pure fun!!!
Bought this baby last 3 days ago, its really fun and durable, highly recommended. the only Cons i can see is the charging Time is 1 hour. id go for S 107 if you are a hermit.because charging time is 30 to 45 minutes only, But S032 is versatile. it can fly in outdoor also. unlike S107. Hope this review Help and happy flying to everyone! :)
I am very happy !!

Too much fun!!!
I've bought three of the S107's now. Everyone that see's them want one. Why do they take mine? We're talking old men here. Fifty to sixty something years old. They act like they're ten when playing with this toy. I don't think calling this a toy is fair. It works to well. Syma got it right. Charge it, put batteries in the controller, fly it. It's that simple.
best micro helicopter
bought the s107 at a local mall here in NY for $41.00. Have had a bunch of cheap air hogs purchased at target. This is a whole new category. It's super easy to fly and has controllable forward and reverse motion and is very stable, you can really tell the difference with the gyro. I can hold a hover as long as the battery will last (about 5 minutes) The helicopter is also very durable. I have repeatedly crashed it into things, but there has been no damage except for some nicks on the leading edge of the rotors and a bent landing skid. None of which effects performance. The helicopter charges from a USB connection as well as the remote. I only charge mine from the computer since the batteries in the remote seem to last much longer that way. For thirty dollars here at amazon you can't beat the value. I got bored quickly with the airhog helicopters, and once they received damage that was it. Amazon and xheli sell replacement parts for the s107, so theoretically you could fly this thing forever. You definitely won't get tired of it.
Is there such a thing as a toy that's too perfect...?
The Syma S107 is so easy to control that on my first flight I had it tour my whole apartment, zooming in and out of closets and never touching an obstacle until I deliberately landed it. If you've never flown a good RC heli before, you might need to practice a bit. It might be your second or third flight before you get that good.

The S107 is *really* that easy to control.

I'm sure that many of you have played with Air Hogs and other micro helis and you long for a little heli that just plain flies where you want it to fly and stays up in the air. I'm here to tell you that such perfection is within your grasp.

Before I got my S107, I already owned two Syma S105s and I never get tired of flying them. They look almost identical to the S107 and the remote is identical, but they take a little bit of skill to fly with precision and I've made little tweaks here and there to get better control.

The S107 takes almost no skill to fly. They gyro makes it laughably easy to control. Just use it indoors, get it about 4 feet off the ground so that ground-effects don't mess with it, fly it a decent distance from air conditioning vents and the thing moves like it's hanging from a string on a stick.

That perfection is, perhaps, its one big flaw.

The thing is, I think the S105 is a bit more fun to play with. The S105 needs careful trimming at the beginning of each flight. The S105 tends to make broad turns, but pulls out sharply, risking blade-strikes, unexpected changes in direction and the occasional crash. It's incredibly easy to fly the S105, but even so every time that I fly one I grow more skillful with it.

The S107 just plain works. It goes where I point it.

I made one little change to my S107, taping a paperclip to the front to help it move forward more easily. That's the sum of all modifications that I made to mine. I can't find anything else to tweak. That's awesome. It's amazing. It's a fun thing to play with and the feeling of exhilaration endures even after many flights.

I heartily recommend this heli.

...But if you want a similar heli that's similarly amazing yet introduces a smidgen of challenge to each flight, consider the S105 as well.

For those who desire what they grew up with, “We just have thousands of models,” said Nancy Chisesi. The active chore and retired military personnel on the Coast are among their biggest customers, whose completed models are showcased in the shop.

“We’re an old-in the good old days b simultaneously hobby shop in that we have something of everything,” said Joe Chisesi. Fingerprints are left behind on the front window by children peering in to see the trains that chug out of the mountain. More of the succession display is inside along with paint by number kits, Star Trek collectibles and cases full of metal die shy cars.

Mom and pop craft store owners know the products they sell, she said. Joe opened The Hobby Purchase because he couldn’t get the things he wanted at another store. That shop closed soon after he opened and he now draws customers from Alabama to Louisiana and Jackson. “Lots of fathers and sons,” he said, but mostly fathers.
