Great Playpen
This works very well. If you place it on carpet or with a foam mat inside, I don't see how the average toddler could push it around. My son has yet to figure that out, and he's typically pretty destructive. Just the one yard is a good size. There's enough room for a couple 'big' toys, while still leaving room to crawl around. I think this is a great product for the price, and am considering buying another.

Great for our needs!!
As working parents of a 6 month year old ( now almost 8)who was already crawling, sitting , standing with support and eager to explore his surrounding all his waking hours we needed someway to keep him safe while we were both busy either getting ready to go to work or doing household chores. This enclose meets all our expectations. Its easy to assemble, modify/reassemble to set up in different areas inside the house. It provides a large area for our son to explore and play with his toys without feeling being limited for space.We have set it up in the living room so we can keep an eye on our baby as we move around the house. Although initially our son was very excited about the "wall" using it to learn to stand up and walk around, he now kinda knows its real use is to keep him away from us. So he starts complaining after a few minutes inside it but at least we know he is safe in there. So we are very happy and do not have any complaints in the couple of months we have owned this product and rate it highly and definitely recommend it.

Exactly what we were looking for.
We are very satisfied with our play yard. I bought the play yard so that my son, who had just started crawling, could have a safe place to crawl and play and so I could keep an eye on him. I actually will get in there with him and spend time playing so there is plenty of room for toys and children. I do recommend placing it on carpet because it can be pushed around easily otherwise. I have laminate wood floors and I purchased a carpet remnant to use underneath. My Son can stand and hold onto the side without it tipping over and I can easily get to him by stepping into the play yard over the side. There is no gate or door into the play yard once it is set up, you have to detach one of the sections to open it and it is not that easy to do this. If you are on the shorter side you might have trouble getting your child in and out. I also caution that if you want something portable this is not all that accommodating, I have folded it up and taken it to the grandparents house several times, but it is a pain to carry as the strap that comes with it does not stay snapped and It folds accordion style, which means that you have to fold some sections all the way back the opposite direction. Just be sure you have plenty of room to set up. The play yard met my needs, and for the price I would definitely purchase this again.

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!!!
I love this Play Yard. I can put my daughter in it and not worry about her if I leave the room. I also recommend the extension kit as well. It works great and fold up quick and easy.

Play Pen Review
I was looking for a play pen to help house break our new puppy. The height and size of the Summer Infant Secure Surround Play Safe Play Yard looked like just what I needed. I read previous reviews on this product to be aware of the pros and cons before deciding to purchase it. The pen was delivered within the stated time frame. Assembly was super easy because it came assembled. If the pen is to be used for children, just be aware that it is light weight and can be moved around by the children playing inside of it. It is perfect for kennel training your puppy. A puppy could possibly learn to climb up the pen, but that is yet to be a problem with our pup. I did have to remove 2 panels to further limit the space because of continued "accidents" by our pup and that problem went away. After a month of usage, I am completely satisfied with this product.

This is the second time I have bought this item.. when my grandson was 1 yr old, I bought this to use in the house
as a play area to keep him safe. We also used this as an outside play area, at the beach, in the backyard
and when visiting friends. Of course, his parents won't let it out of their hands, so now, he is three and I bought a second one to have here at my house and use it as a double protection in front of my pool gate and to seperate the dog from the living room when baby is here. It is an awesome product and very easy to set up and take down and take with you and to store. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND this product for anyone with little ones!!!

Summer Infant Secure Surrond Play yard
We bought this for our dog and we set it up like a wall instead of an enclosed pen. We ran it in a zig-zag pattern so that it will stand up. Obviously this is not as sturdy as connecting it. However, for our purposes, it is sturdy enough. The "door" rests against one wall and easily opens to allow you to get through. The quailty seems pretty good. We have had it for over a month now and we are very pleased with it. I found it to be a good value for the money.

We love it as a dog fence
We bought this a week ago and set it up as a 12 foot wide fence to keep the dogs out of the garden.

It took a couple of times of opening the gate to get used to opening it.

Terrible weak wood.
Terrible. bought for my son who weighs 20lbs. we started to use this about 2weeks ago.
already broke twice (where the nail holds two parts together). when my son lean on this play pen it breaks right there and my sone fell and that broken part almost cut his finger!!!
what a weak piece of junk!!! do not buy it

it's what we needed!
We purchased this divider for outdoor purpose. We needed a place where to put all the toys away from the pool. We have a four year old and a one year old. They play inside without any problem and are not able to open the door. they really like to have a place where to stay and feel free. We put a little toy house inside and my old boy pretend the divider is the house gate and they really enojoy it.
the good thing is that you can easily put it away. I like the wood very much instead of those plastic big gates that are enormous. kids need simple things.
i'm very happy and the price is very good. the 8 panel gave you really a lot of space!!!

Terrible Quality
This is the first review of a product that I have ever written. I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I did. I researched wood playards extensively, and this one offered the most square footage for the least money. I made the mistake or prioritizing money over quality. I failed to notice that the description was very careful NOT to state that the wood is finished, but only that it is "protected" with a "clean smooth coating." When I received the item, I immediately realized the poor quality. My son is ten months old and at this point is much more interested in pulling himself up on the playard itself as opposed to playing with his toys inside it, and the thought of trying to remove a chunk of wood from his finger or hand made me feel terribly for skimping on quality to save a buck. There are other wood playards, like the North States one, that are more expensive but are much higher quality. If you can't spend that much money but need a large playard, there are non-wood ones, like the Summer Sure and Secure Custom-Fit Gate, that are great (I ended up getting this one and love it and I have the peace of mind of knowing that my son is safe in it). I've certainly been disappointed with other items I've ordered online, but the difference with this one is that because the item is so heavy, the shipping costs to order it and then return it mean that I am out nearly $100. I contacted the manufacturer and their only solution was to replace the gate if they decided it was defective. Of course, I didn't want a replacement, so I had to pay to ship back to Oregon (I live in Ohio) two boxes (since I also ordered the extension kit) weighing more than fifty pounds. Please take a lesson from me: in this case, you really do get what you pay for.

Keeps the kids contained
So far so good. This play yard is sturdy, durable, and looks a lot better than the flimsy plastic gates. Multiple setup layouts but is a bit bulky to move in and out of the house if you wanted to put it in the yard. Padded bottom keeps it from slipping on the tile. The only downside I have with it is one of the padded base pieces was cracked down the middle when we got it in the mail. But the company was quick to send out a replacement free of charge. Much better than a pack-and-play when at home. Gives your child much more room to play in instead of being cramped in a crib. If your going to put it on a hard floor I'd recommend getting some foam padding for the floor.

DANGEROUS CHOKING HAZARD-DO NOT BUY FOR BABY
We were so excited to get this; I've always wanted one (we have 5 kids). Finally splurged for baby #5, who just turned one. Since our living room is a little on the small side, we opted to use only 5 panels. Upon first assembling the play pen, I noticed one of the panels was already cracked, so I called the company the next business day. The guy was nice, and said he'd send a replacement panel, which he did. These panels attach at the ends, as you can see in the product picture, where the little "feet" are. About 3-4 weeks ago, we noticed the baby chewing on something. It was a piece of wood. Upon inspecting the pen, we noticed that the wood around the screw hole had split, and wood had come off. This happened on 2 different panels. Since we weren't using all of the panels, we just replaced the broken ones and emailed the company to let them know. They asked us to send pictures, but never offered a refund or anything (keep in mind that our baby had a CHUNK OF WOOD in his mouth!! Thankfully we were watching him closely!). Well life happens, and it took about 2 weeks to get the pictures emailed to them. In the meantime, however, 3 more of the panels broke, 2 in the same spots, and one actually totally broke at the joint. This thing is unusable. The company told us that since we had it 2 months, it was not something they could give a refund for. Like I just don't like the thing and want to return it? IT COULD HAVE KILLED MY CHILD!!! The wood that they used in the construction of this item is too soft; it is not appropriate for this product. You can tell that the minute you open the box, but I figured since so many people love it, it must be ok. Boy were we wrong. We should have returned it immediately. Shame on this company for endangering children's lives and not standing behind their product. DON'T TAKE CHANCES WITH YOUR BABY!! BUY A DIFFERENT PLAYPEN!!

Play center safety yard
This play yard is wonderful. I purchased it for my grandson who just celebrated his 1st birthday. He had been walking for a month and was all over the house. My daughter-in-law is expecting his sister very soon and was concerned about keeping her eyes on him while having to care for an infant. This was the answer. It's bright, colorful, and the toys (located on one panel) are fun. As far as educational value goes, that is not really it's purpose. It's purpose is safety and security and it fulfills both of those categories but the panel toys are a plus. This particular play yard is big (much larger than the others) so my grandson does not feel trapped. He has plenty of room to get around as well as room for plenty of toys. It was also a great price as compared to others.

This was the perfect answer for my family.

Exactly what I wanted!
I had been looking everywhere for a non permanent fun solution to keep the baby on one side of the house! She loves it! It's a lot more durable than I thought! And the price was perfect! I love that I can move it easily and I love the fun colors!

I chose not to use the stickers because my friend who owns a day care has this pen and the kids destroyed the stickers making it look a lot more worn!

I love it though! And most importantly the baby loves it!

Great Play Yard
We recently bought this to give our son an area to play in and allow us to do other things in the house. He has fun crawling around in it and playing with the phone and balls. It also helped him to learn to pull himself up to his feet. The only negatives are that the stickers are cheap, our son has already scratched one partially off and the black plastic feet are useless. Other than that the play yard is pretty sturdy and serves its purpose.

Good play center
This play center is pretty basic, but works really well. We did not add the stickers; there really is no need to. It assembles quickly. My son loves the one interactive panel; I wish more of the panels had interactive parts, but I haven't been able to find any play center that has more than one interactive panel.
I have had two issues, though. There are small (roughly between quarter and half dollar size) black plastic covers for the bottom sunction cups. They come off very easily, and I worry about my son putting them in his mouth. Also, I 'snapped' the ways together, but they till move easily. It is on a wood floor; I think if it was on carpet it would be more stable.

Easy and Useful
We were looking for a play area that we could use at Grandmama's house during visits to keep the dog away from Baby. This Playpen works great. It is very easy to put together and take apart in about 30 seconds. There is a lot of room inside the pen for Baby, toys and Momma to sit comfortably and have room to play. I also like the vertical bars that will be more difficult for Baby to climb and the stability of the panels that Baby can pull up on and not fall over. For this price we are going to buy another one for our own house.
