Nice ballistic nylon bag, a lot of pockets. Back pocket as a place to conceal carry your pistol, can slip in and may not move around a lot since the nylon/bag is stiff; but I bought a holster/loop for extra $ that goes with this product and it uses velcro to bind to the inside of this bag, so you slip the pistol into this loop and it holds the pistol more securely.

The shoulder strap padding tends to move up and down, wish it could hold it more securely; FOUR **** stars for this

It carries all my electronic gadgets and the 9mm without the holster, although I don't know why it does not ship to APO address. I had to have it sent to my home address first, then had my wife ship it to the APO address.

this bag is what I have been looking for. carry it everywhere. great for a camera, maybe not a SLR. it will fit if you take the lens off the body. I have a cannon powershot s5 and it fits perfect. nintendo ds+ games, extra memory cards, several mp3 players, sunglass case, sunscreen bug repellent, pocket knife, leaterman Supertool, small notepad, flashlight, usb flashdrives, flashlights. I just checked, my slr body does fit fine if you take the lens off, but not with it on. not as big as a backpack or a messenger bag, and a laptop wont fit in it, but ideal size for everyday used as well as great for hiking and travelling.

The Best Pack I've Ever Encountered
Maxpedition FATBOY S-TYPE VERSIPACK is by far the best pack I have ever purchased, and quite frankly, I have indeed purchased amany. I am a chaplain officer with the International Federation for Emergency Chaplains. I have a need to carry first aid supplies, as well as my religious articles on me at all times, while I am on duty. This pack, which has a removable shoulder pad is both comfortable with or w/o it. (I myself removed the pad). The pack, in which I ordered in khaki color, serves quite a unique purpose. Of course, originally designed to serve search & rescue personnel, this versipack is small enough to fit snuggly to your side, and yet large enough on the inside to hold your most desired gear.

There were only two drawbacks that I found with this pack. First & foremost, the waist strap, (when not in use), has to be wrapped around the top handle for out-of-the-way use so that it doesn't hang down side of the pack. Now, I'm not certain about anybody else, I have a 32-sized waist, & I find that I can use this pack with or without the strap, unfortunately, without using it, and the pack has a tendency to slide forward when your walking or bicycling for instance. The second concern, which really isn't that big, was the front-most zippered pocket. I use this to stash my Rosary beads & holy water bottle, which is really the only two tiniest of articles you can actually put in there. This pocket is so small that it really shouldn't have probably even been a pocket & is most likely there just for looks.

Besides this, the two sides pockets provide ample storage for my first aid items, EMT shears, hemostat, latex gloves, multitool, even a mini-Mag flashlight holder. The main compartment that has a drawcord for secure closure holds most of my emergency supplies, notpad & pen, first aid gear, such as; bandages, tape, gauze, wraps, etc. I can accommodate my prayer book, stole, cruets and more in the front zippered compartments and the rear zippered pocket.

The pack is great too because I have the need to represent myself as an emergency chaplain, so the strap serve the great purpose of being wide enough to accommodate my chaplain badge. This truly is the "best pack I've ever used."

SO RUGGED!!
This pack is my dream come true. I have a bit of a man bag fetish, and the last one I had from OLD NAVY was a cheap rag compared to this. I haven't had a bag in about a year because I've been shopping to find one that fits my needs. It's got many pockets hidden away and is so light I hardly know it's there. I like the drawstring storm bag in there to help protect my phone from water if necessary. HOTNESS!

Ultimate Camera Bag
I purchased the Jumbo S-type Versipack to use as a camera bag for my Canon 50D DSLR. It is excellent! I also purchased an orange camera insert from Naneu Pro (Sierra) to fit inside the bag. This combo is perfect. I have room for a flash, my 50mm lens, lens hoods, and the camera with the kit lens mounted. I use the water bottle pocket to hold my kit lens when I'm not using it. The extra pockets hold my pens, filters, extra batteries, iPod, and my cell phone. I chose the s-type so it would sit on my left side and I could use my right hand to shoot pictures. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone.

Big All Carry Bag
Love this bag and have used it for over a year as a camping bag, first aid kit, survival bag and cabin bag.

One thing is this bag is BIG. It can carry quite a bit of stuff; water bottle, steel cup, survival kit, first aid kit, emergency rations, flashlight, sunglasses, knife or two, pistol plus two mags, and some odds and ends.
The wide strap makes it carryable and the belt loop keeps it from flopping around.

Minus one star because though it has lots of pocket space they're Big and stuff rattles around a bit. I found the storm collar makes the internal pockets hard to get to and cut mine off but I wouldn't recommend that for everyone as stuff could fall out.

This makes an excellent grab-go-and gun bag or a backwoods minipack or vehicle bugout bag. If you want a small organizer/ manpurse i'd go with one of the smaller max-packs otherwise this is a great buy.

This bag is in constant use - I love it.
For my needs, this is almost the perfect pack. I spend a great amount of times outdoors and pack quite a lot of odd gear. This bag is perfect to pack my different identification guides (plants, bird, flowers, etc.) that I continually carry. There is quite a lot of room left for my trail food, note books, emergency kit, water, maps and general girl junk. This is a well built bag, especially for the price. I love the storm collar and it does work as well as any I have seen our used. The pack is quite comfortable and its weight is almost negligible. I carry binoculars, water and most of the time at least two cameras along with a special photography pack. Yes, this is a lot, but if you need it, you need it. This bag is great for the "extra" gear that I need other than the professional. It is easy to slip on and off, which is a big deal for me and my particular way of doing things. I do not that it resists stains quite well, something I could care less about, but some might find this a nice features. Like another reviewer, I do wish the material were softer and quieter, but hey, you cannot have everything, especially at this price.

My husband is an insulin-dependant diabetic and has to carry a lot of things to help control his blood sugars. This bag makes it more comfortable on his neck and shoulders by distributing the weight and he is able to carry more supplies he needs when we are travelling, especially when we fly.
