attention to detail and fun gadgetry
LEGOs were one of my favorite toys growing up - the only limit to what you can create is your own imagination, and you can get lost for hours, just building and imagining what it would be like to live in or interact in the environment you just made.

Details such as the operating hours of the Deli are not overlooked as they are on the window, even an "OPEN" sign is there. The Doc Ock character lacks the pot-belly and man-boobs of his on-screen counterpart - the little character looks more like one of the children in "Village of the Damned" than Doc Ock, but I don't think kids are going to care. He has the flexi tenticles coming of his back - that's enough right here!

Also included are a clock and a very futuristic looking taxi with taxi driver included.

Because all LEGO sets are interchangable, your kids are not limited to the one rendition of the scene as it appears on the box. The sky's the limit with LEGO.

Doc Ock interrupts Spider-Man's coffee break
"Spider-Man 2: Cafe Attack" represents the scene that we saw in the trailer for the blockbuster film from the summer of 2004 a gazillion times before the movie came out (and which surprisingly does not come until over halfway through the movie). Mary Jane is confronting Peter over their relationship, demanding to know if he loves her and insisting on a kiss, just to check something out, when he says he does not. The kiss, which was not going to be upside down, so it would not be like it was going to prove anything, is interrupted by Doctor Octopus tossing a sports car through the window.

This 132-piece LEGO set includes the figures of Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus, and a cab driver; if you want Mary Jane you have to pick up "Doc Ock's Hideout." You have the front of the cafe, the black car that Doc Ock tosses through the window to get Peter Parker's attention, and a cab for the poor cab driver who is caught in the middle of the fun to drive around. Yes, getting the Doctor Octopus figure posed the way you want can be tricky, but you have to admire the attempt to provide such an ambitious LEGO figure.

Other LEGO sets in the "Spider-Man 2" collection are "Spider-Man's Street Chase," "Doc Ock's Bank Robbery," "Spider-Man's Train Rescue," "Doc Ock's Fusion Lab," "Doc Ock's Crime Spree," and "Doc Ock's Hideout." You look at these titles and you are inclined to think that LEGO is siding with the super villain instead of the hero in this one. If you arrange these LEGO sets in the right order you can create a nice little series of tableau's representing the blockbuster film. "Doc Ock's Cafe Attack" certainly represents the signature scene in "Spider-Man 2," which made it to the Top 10 list for all-time money making movies this month.

Final Note: If you have not already, be sure to go to the LEGO site where you can check out their hilarious mini-movie with Spider-Man in "The Peril of Doc Ock." What a pleasant surprise!
I could not believe that they made a Spider-Man themed series at lego. Even though it is under the movie creator banner, this set is great on its own. You have a Mary Jane Watson (Spider-Man's love interest in the film and wife in the comic books) with a red outfit to match the chinese themed one she wears in the film as well as a double sided head. That sounds weird at first, but let me explain. When you put her hair piece on her head it covers up the back, so one side had Mary Jane smiling and the other has her terrified. When you look at the Green Goblin, you'll know why. Norman Osborne (aka the Green Goblin) has a winged attack vehicle to pursue Mary Jane. Underneath his well molded green mask you see the face of Norman Osborne. This, in combination with the set that comes with the spiderman minifig, is perfect for acting out not only scenes from the new movie but scenes from the famous comic book series. I recommend this for collectors, lego fans, and fans of the movie or the fox kids show from the 90s. You can't go wrong with lego, even though I caution you to comparison shop as the price here is a bit higher than what I bought it for. There are 55 pieces in this set (#1374.

A Piece of Junk
This mega Spiderman set was a piece of junk. Everytime my son and I tried to put it together, the blocks would fall apart. We decided to just cast it to the side and forget about it. I guess I got what I paid for huh. I will never buy MEGA blocks again....I will stick with the LEGOS for now on.

Bank Heist Mega Brand Playset
I purchased this playset for my 6 year old. We spent about 2 hours putting it together one afternoon which was kind of fun and the instructions were easy to follow. It's much sturdier than the Legos Spongebob sets he got last year. The Lego sets fell apart after a couple of times playing with them. This one is still together & hopefully will be for a while. My son enjoys playing with it and likes that it comes with a little Spiderman, Sandman and a police man.

Don't waste your money!
My 5 year old son got this item for Christmas. After we spent 2 hours assembling the thing it kept falling apart, and when you would try to fix it another section would fall off. Unfortunately, our son only played with this one time. The blocks did not fit well together and I would not recommend spending your hard earned money on this.

My son has enjoyed this toy and plays with almost every day. The Mega Blocks instructions are getting much better and we had no difficulty putting it together. I would recommend this toy.

Too difficult for a kid and it falls apart easilty
Looking at the box I thought this would be an easy to build blocks toy but, we were in for a nasty surprise. It took us 8 hours, more or less, to build this thing. We started with the truck which was fine, fun and relatively easy. Then we moved on to the tower that holds the billboard, no big deal. We then proceeded to build the Bank... what a nightmare! The floor part did not stick together, the windows would fall on and on after building them into the floor blocks. The worse part was the roof of the bank. My child ended up loosing his patience and went on to play with something else. I decided to get it done no matter what and spent countless hours putting things together only for them to fall apart (usually when I thought I was almost done). I realized that it was easier to do the roof separate from the walls and windows of the bank (as opposed to what the instructions tell you to do which is to put the roof on top of the walls you already built). Even following a different approach, it was very difficult to complete the task, the front part of the roof was supposed to hold a bunch of columns that formed the walls around the front door and upper window. Getting that big piece of ceiling to hold all the columns was almost impossible. I finally built the bank but now I don't want my child to touch it. If it falls apart, I am not redoing it! I don't know who puts this toys togethers and who tests them but the designer of this one is lost. Do not buy this one!

This is a cool toy! It comes with Spidy (duh!) Police man and bad guy. Why dose it have Wold unity decals? I'll tell u. There's an expader pack so u can make a sene from the movie. Well it's awsome! See ya! :-)

I have been a Spider-Man fan for most of my life and I have never had more fun playing with Legos than I did hen I bought this magnificent toy. Even if I am a 15 year old kid, I still enjoy the simple things in life; such as Spider-Man, Legos, and of course, pirate ships. As I opened the box in the back of my mothers '67 Chevy station wagon my eyes glowed with happiness. I seriously was nearly in tears. The only possible thing that could improve this already wonderous product is maybe a hovercraft or a pirate island complete with a pirate ship and secret volcano stronghold. This, my friends, is my reveiw of your Spider-Man legos.

Lego Spiderman Train Rescue
These are fun. The train is awesome! The track is made for the wheels of the train to roll across, but the track is lacking in the real way it looks in the movie. It doesn't have the ties you see on the ground. Aside from that though I really like this Lego.

Exceptionally High Quality
My five-year-old son put this together, with me just looking over his shoulder and pointing out details in the instructions when he missed something. It's a delight in every way. It has a launcher that works elegantly with just rubberbands. There's lots of opportunity for imaginative play. It was a marvelous learning experience and achievement for him. The instructions were crystal clear and every piece was accounted for. It looks totally 'cool' , but not cheap or flashy, and it's plenty sturdy, I can't say enough to adequately praise this item!
