Easy to use
Some infant carseats are so complex to figure out. This one is very intuitive and easy to use. I like the the directions are printed in the base as to how to install it into the car, very helpful if you forget to bring the manual out. The seat is easy to pop in and out of the base, and is secure when in the base. I use it with the Maxi-Cosi Foray Stroller - Choco Mint, and t is easy to put onto the base of the stroller and take off. The seat is lightweight, well constructed and looks really nice in person.

The car seat base does come with the product, I wasn't sure when I ordered.

Great
We just received the Maxi-Cosi Mico infant carseat as a baby shower gift and, although I have not used it on my unborn baby yet, I love it! In terms of safety rating, ease of taking off and latching onto base, it is great. A lot of the reviews I read from dissatisfied parents seem to be about not being able to latch the carseat in easily. I have no issues with it. It snaps in with a click. This is dummy-proof, so I don't know what they're talking about. I had a harder time when testing out the Chicco Keyfit. Some parents complained about it being loud and shaking the baby awake when being clicked in. I think this is because it is a solid seat base and the carseat will not budge once it is in. The only thing I couldn't comment on would be how fast my baby is going to outgrow this carseat. I figure that every parent is going to have a different opinion on this based on how fast their child grows, but who really wants to be carrying a carseat around once your baby gets to a certain weight? If it's the higher cost of this carseat compared to other popular brands, then you should never have made the initial investment and gone for a 30 lb plus carseat. After having looked at multiple infant carseats from Peg Perego, Graco Snugride, Chicco Keyfit 30, Safety 1st....I've looked at ALL of them, this seems to be the easiest to carry. Plus, a little warning about Chicco Keyfit, which was my first choice, it is the most toxic infant carseat on the market. I know that choices for baby products should never be made based on aesthetics, but I loved the design of this carseat the best compared to everything else. Being a minimalist, I love the simple design also. The only thing I wish I could really change about this is the sun shade which seems pointless because it barely comes out enough to protect the baby. This is definitely not a dealbreaker, though.

Fast and in excellent condition
We got the car seat in a few days and in perfect condition. We received the color we ordered and we didn't have to pay fir shipping. We tried to buy it first from babies r us because we bought the stroller that goes with it there, bit they didn't have it, nor the online store, nor the actual manufacturer company (maxi-cosi). We found it here and bought it for the same price than it costs at babies r us, and again, no shipping.

Worn out mechanism
I, like a lot of others on here, was smitten with the cute color choices for this seat from the get go. I bought the orange/turquoise/brown color because my car is burnt orange. I did a bunch of research and this seemed to be a really great quality car seat, along with the cute factor. I purchased this seat last spring. Now, not even a year and a half later, the mechanism that secures the straps when you tighten them has apparently worn out. I tighten the straps and then pull on them at my son's shoulders and they pull right back out. For a couple months, after tightening the straps, if I would push on the button, it would lock into place but now it won't even do that. I don't think that a $[...] car seat should break after only a year and a half of moderate use. Maybe I just got a lemon because I loved the seat up until that point. My favorite feature is the little clips on either side that you place the straps in after unbuckling your child so when you place them back in, you don't have to hold the straps out of the way, or pull them out from under your child. I'm getting ready to purchase another car seat and I think I'll go with one a little less pricey and so I won't be so ticked if it breaks in a year.

Love this Seat!
Maxi-cosi Priori convertible carseat in gipsy-

I read so many reviews on this seat and now that it is here and we're using it I really disagree with a lot of the bad reviews it has gotten. It works great for us. My 2 1/2 yr old fits in it really well, (she is a 50% percentile kid if that helps you get an accurate size for her age) and I am not worried about her growing out of it. It took us maybe 15 minutes to get the straps moved up and have it installed in the car. The latch features on this seat are so much easier to use then the past 3 car seats we've owned. It is very secure in our car and it doesn't take up nearly as much space compared to our last seat, which is a big deal because we have to squeeze 3 kids in the back of our jetta. My daughter usually isnt able to see out the window and the first time she rode in it, it was like she was seeing everything for the first time. She was soo happy looking out the window and telling us everything she saw. And the first time she rode in it she fell asleep and I was so happy to be able to try out the amazing recline feature. The recline feature is a huge bonus and I know it will come in handy with all the trips we take. I know some other reviews talked about the fabric being poorly constructed but I would have to disagree. I know we haven't had it long enough to wash it but the construction looks like high quality and i am not worried about it coming apart. Overall I love this seat and would recommend it to anyone. My husband who is the biggest skeptic loves this seat and suggested we should buy another one for our other car.

Not perfect, but solid
Overall, we've been quite pleased with our Priori. Enough anyway that we purchased a second one for our other car. Figured it's always better to go with something you know, especially when spending this kind of money. Mainly, we purchased the original one because of the high marks it received in the at-the-time latest edition of Baby Bargains.

My criticisms are similar to ones previous mentioned. The crotch pad is a bit hinky to maneuver sometimes...it kinda flops and doesn't stay out the way as much as one would like it to when placing the child in the seat. At first use, I found the buckles/latch incredibly difficult to remove. Pressing that button required a lot of strength, but with time I've noticed this is no longer that much of a problem.

I should add that in my husband's Passat the seat fits beautifully rear-facing, but in my Golf, the seat takes up enough room that the front passenger seat is quite bunched up to the dash. There is definitely not enough room for a person to ride there comfortably or safely. We're just dealing with this though since our hope is to have our son ride rear facing until he reaches the 35" height limit.

But aside from these things, the seat has worked very well for us. I especially like its modern design and the choice of colors, and my son always appears rather comfortable while riding, awake or asleep!

Maxi Cosi Priori, 3 years of good service!
I had this seat for my first kiddo. It was the first upgrade from a baby car seat and he loved it the instance he was put in it! It is comfortable sturdy and believe me if you have the latch system installing it is a breeze. There are a lot of pros on this seat and I confess a few cons but nothing is perfect.

Lets do the pros first, Ok admit it every one, it is such a stylish and fun looking car seat! It is compact and weighs much less than most of those monstrosities out there (except the combi cocorro new seat) It latches with ease to the latch system. Unlike what some reviews claim, the cover is easily removed and machine wash safe and re-installing it is a breeze. My son loved the recline position and his cute big head never dangles forward like a rag doll! Now last and MOST IMPORTANT it is really really (and I mean REALLY) Safe and sturdy! we actually and sadly put it to the test! We had a BMW 3 series and got rear ended (we were at full stop at a stop sign) by a Ford F450 truck going at 45 miles per hours (and he never stopped! yes an F450, didnt know they made 450's!)but thanks to the wonderful german engeneering and the amazing Maxi-Cozi the car was polvorized but my son got out with not even a scratch (obviously he was in the back seat). SO to answer every parent's main question YES IT IS VERY SAFE AND STURDY!

Cons; I have to say this is frustrating and the only reason I did not give it a five, the belt buckle is very short, dont know why they made it this way. It gets tricky to get your child in the seat with the winter gear on, honestly in summer it is no problem at all. ANother con, but really not a big of a deal, the blets twist a lot.

So in a nut shell,
pros: safe, sturdy, washable, compact, reclining and comfy, cool colors
Cons: short bottom buckle, magicly twisting belts

I do recomend it and I am actually buying a new one too! (you have got to change car seats after a major crash)

My daughter loves this seat
This is a great seat. My daughter often falls asleep in the car and the reclining feature is fantastic! I'm going to get another one for my youngest when she is old enough for this car seat.

Easy to use
I mean, if you have a maxi-cosi infant carrier and buy this rain shield you're not going to have an issue with fit. That being said, the mesh side panels are great for airflow, especially for summer rainstorms. I also like the slit provided so that you can slide your hand through and hold the carrier by the handle properly rather than gripping it through the plastic.

We've used the rain shield twice. Both times the baby was kept dry. Can't really ask for more.

I love the rain shield. I don't go out without it. It protects my baby from the rain and the cold wind. I love the fact that the rain shiled has an opening to grab the car seat handle.

best booster
I did lots of research before settling on the maxi cosi. Along with top safety reviews and the pretty pink color I also liked the feature that allows the booster to widen as your child grows. The recline does not really work but that's okay for us as my children seldom sleep in the car. In the past we've always used Britax prducts including the parkway. I am super happy with this purchse and highly recommend this quality product.

We LOVE it!
We've had this car seat for about 3 weeks and so far we are extremely happy. It is the perfect size. No wider than our last car seat but far more sportier as a piece of equipment. Simple to put together, very vibrant colors. High quality and very easy to use with a seatbelt. A couple reviews had made comments about difficulty in threading the seatbelt, not sure what that could be about. The seatbelt just slides right in. It reclines easily and if you read the instructions it should work perfectly for anyone! The seat is super easy to move to/from different cars. The biggest compliment happened when our 25 year old son had to schlep me and my daughter (his sister) around for the day when our car had broken. He actually opted to keep the seat in his car until ours was fixed - he LIKED how it looked... He said they are built like a quality racing seat and when he 'cornered' she just kept on reading her little book, while, apparently, I grabbed the sissy bar! Very happy with purchase.

not what expected
The car seat is suposed to recline, but when I do so the seat does not stay put. When I turn at a corner or when driving in a road with lots of curves, it falls a bit to de side, and I have to stop the car to put the car seat back into place. If not reclined, the seat works fine.

Great seat- if you have wide seats
We are very pleased with our purchase. My daughter especially loves the color and that it reclines a bit. She says it is comfortable and she looks comfortable in it. It is very user friendly. I have not had it come apart as others had described. It is easy to recline. I feel like I put quite a bit of time researching booster seats and safety ratings. I am happy with the seat overall. My only complaint is the captains chairs in my Acadia don't seem to be wide enough to easily buckle the seat belt with ease. My mother has a Navigator and the booster seems to fit better and buckle much easier. Just wish my seats were a bit wider, but it works!

Great Booster!
I purchased this booster because I loved the Maxi-Cosi Priori. This seat seems to be very comfortable, love the adjustable headrest & sidewings. The seat part could use a bit of cushion but most boosters have hard seats. Colors are contemporary, yet simple. My rear car seats are curved so the recline doesn't seem to work but I'm hoping to make some adjustments.
