Customer Reviews

This does not work with the Snugride 32
I accidentally got this car seat instead of the one for my Snugride 32. It does not fit! Being called the Snugride I thought they were all the same. There is no info in the description that would point you otherwise. Other than that there was no way for me to really test it out because it didn't work with my car seat.
Great product!
We bought a stroller/carseat combo for my car, but my husband, my mother, and my mother-in-law all bought this base for their cars. It makes picking up and dropping off the baby so safe and convenient!
Good replacement / spare base
This car seat base is equal to the original that came with the stroller/car seat combo
Good
Getting a second car seat base is a good idea if you like to switch cars with your partner a lot
It is what it says it is
It is what it says it is. It is the infant car seat base for specific Graco infant carriers. Not much to say, it works.

Great Quality !
I went back and fourth between the Chicco and Snugride. I am SO glad I choose the Platinum Snugride car seat ! The material is phenominal ! I love the boot that comes with this carseat. Very easy to install ! This was the perfect choice !
good product
its a good product... only little complaint i have is that the buttons to swivel the handle are a bit squeaky and hard to press sometimes, might be a little 'lemon' on the product... bought this for my first baby... my baby was about 6.5lbs when we first put her into it... and it was a little big on her... her head wasn't firmly set on the head area of the seat... u might have to buy some side cushions at first until she grows a little bigger for the seat so her head doesn't move all over the place... otherwise it's a very sturdy and good car seat.. it does come with the car seat base, altho i was told when i called the customer service that i had to buy a separate car seat base... now i have two... not expected but still could use a second car seat base if u have two cars so u don't have to keep moving one car seat base back and forth each car... or just give it to the grandparents for them to use when theyre baby sitting!
Like it but it's got minimal padding
There were such good reviews on this and it had all the features that I was looking for or supposed to look for. But what wasn't mentioned anywhere is that the padding is minimal. Haven't found any safe or legit solution to that because most are not safety crash tested by the car seat company. If you like cush for your little one's tush then you shd go for SnugRide 32 or 35 & if you want to go outside of Graco then go for Chico Keyfit. The Graco website does have a good features comparison among their offerings. And like I said, this has every feature that I wanted but for the padding.
Not bad for the price
I own two for twins. Good value for money in general. I would recommend it to cost concious buyers. It is also a good fit for Snap-n-go strollers. It comes with its car base, which makes life a lot easier.

However be aware of these:
1. It is big. I have to push the front seat to furthest to fit it in. If you have a small car, it might not fit
2. The inside material is made of plastic. While this makes it very easy to clean, the baby sweats a lot regardless of the weather, during long rides.
3. It has some wierd sharp edges, you might get your hands caught in the first uses.
4. Not for big babies.

But still, I don't regret it. It is a good product for the price.
LOVE IT!!!!!
We absolutely LOVE the pattern of this carseat! It has the great safety features of all Graco's except its super cute!!!

Works Well
Purchased this stroller to go with our Graco Snugride 35 infant carseat. Was told this was made to specifically fit this model carseat, but we find it kinda hard to snap in - seems as if the carseat is just a tad too big - it does fit, just takes some coordination. Other than that works great - nice and lightweight - perfect for the mall.
Excellent stroller alternative for infants
A little background: I am 5'11" and my husband is 6'3" -- so when researching infant car seats before my son was born, I focused on seats that would work for a larger baby. (and now he's 6 months and 20 pounds) I also read Baby Bargains cover to cover for recommendations on all kinds of gear. I like their style, and am a no-fuss kind of girl. We settled on the Graco Snugride 32 and this frame as our infant stroller combo.
After 6 months of use, the stroller has been great. They've designed the system to be pretty fool-proof. Everything that is red does something for you -- locks, unlocks, snaps, clicks, etc. It folds up easily and I like the latch they've designed. (The latch/locking mechanism is something that I've only really started to appreciate as we've begun to research other stroller options.)

PROS: compact, lightweight, easy to fold, latches well, wheels lock easily, the handle height adjusts for taller parents, the basket is huge and easily accessible.

CONS: sometimes it's a little hard to steer and I've bumped into curbs and walls while not paying attention. This is a minor complaint.

In hindsight it may have been a better idea t get a different stroller -- one that the infant seat could snap into, but would also allow him to grow with. We've looked at the Metrolite but I think the latch would drive me crazy; in the store it never seemed to catch correctly. We ended up buying a second-hand Peg Perego Aria MT this weekend and it looks like it's going to be great. We also just bought a new convertible car seat too, because although this one will still work for awhile, he's way too heavy to be carting around between cars.

A great lightweight stroller option!
I am VERY pleased with the stroller frame! It says "assembly required" which basically meant snapping on the wheels and cupholders. VERY EASY! It is perfectly compatible with my Graco Safeseat Car Seat, which I purchased in 2006. I LOVE the stroller that came with my carseat, but it's quite heavy and bulky, this one folds easily and is very light -- will be a great option for my little one when she arrives in 2 weeks!
Lightweight, convenient, could improve the design
Love how lightweight this stroller is but considering it's really only half a stroller with the carseat making up the other half it really doesn't fold up that small. The cupholders totally suck. They are way too shallow and small. A large bottle of water won't fit at all and anything above a small starbucks cup will fall out at the slightest jostle. The basket is nice and big. Handling could use definite improvement even with the front wheels unlocked. I also have a three wheeled stroller (baby jogger, city mini) and that thing turns on a dime. Would love to see a three wheeled version of this. Also, agree with the other reviewer who said brakes get stepped on easily, woke my baby quite a few times with that one. I have't experienced any of the tipping issues or problems with popping out that others have said. I do think both folding up and unfolding could be greatly improved, can't really do either one handed and if the wheels aren't in the right position when you fold it up it won't lock closed and will open right back up on you when you go to throw it in the trunk. But if your getting the graco carseat this is a he'll of a lot better than the travel system. That stupid behemoth is a complete waste of money.
YOU NEED TO BUY THIS
This is AWESOME... If you're like me, you went and bought a travel system.. and regretted it! The Graco system I bought is so bulky and heavy!! It drove me crazy.. Until I got this!! I love it. I used it for about 9 months, just click the carseat in, and you're good to go! We took it with us on vacation to Florida too, it was perfect. Only negative is that you can't use it without the carseat. I wish there were a way to!

Snugride Carseat
My husband and I could not be more happy with this car seat. We love the argyle pattern and the fabric is so soft. We especially love that the visor is not attached in the back like most other brands so if the sun is in front of you, I just pull the visor all the way down and block the sun and or rain from my baby. We also have the matching stroller and the car seat fits nice and snugly with a clip and straps so you know your baby is safe. So far we have no complaints. Love it!
Great, but heavy and wide
This is a popular infant seat because it offers the best longevity out there, giving your child up to 35 pounds before needing to upgrade to a larger seat. I took my kids to the zoo last week and saw no less than 3 other parents with the exact same Snugride 35. We like ours very much, but have noticed a few things about it that can be drawbacks. For one, it is quite heavy to lug around. Second, it is wider than other seats and has trouble fitting into tight places (like restaurant booths, shopping carts and flipped-over high chairs).
Fine
For our first son, we used the older model that went to 30 lbs. We found that he outgrew the seat before 30lbs and was ready for a front facing seat by 15 months (he's a tall boy). As far as I can tell this seat is slightly bigger. It is also heavier. For kids like ours the limiting factor for a rear facing seat is how long until their legs don't take up all the room between the seat back and the car seat. I don't see how this chair will change that limiting factor - but my newborn is still only 2 months old. I'll try to update this review in 10 months.

Other than that, these are great seats. Secure, well built and having a solid reputation. We thought about going with a more expensive seat, but the safety reviews seemed pretty similar (some put this one higher). I just borrowed a friend's less expensive car seat (Eddie Bauer) and it was hard to get the fit right and it really seemed flimsy and much less secure.

I recommend getting the 'Graco SnugRider Infant Car Seat Stroller Frame" for about 55 bucks. It works perfectly with this seat, and is super light and convient for keeping in the car - good for grocery store etc.
Nice Carseat
I just recieved this carseat yesterday. I also purchased the stroller. Both are very nice. My favorite part about this seat is that it is sooo soft. Alot of other carseats are the harder type fabric. But this has alot of soft and cushy material to it. The colors are great. Could work for both a boy or a girl (I bought mine for a boy). The straps adjust easily also. This is my favorite car seat of all time! Another big plus, is that it holds your baby up to 35lbs, instead of 22 like alot of others. I would definitely suggest this seat to everyone.
Good Car Seat for infants
I received one of these Snugride 35 car seats as a gift for the birth of the SO and mine first daughter (my second daughter!) After 4 weeks of use it has been great, easy to use, slides in and out of its car base hassle free, seems to be made from durable materials, and the baby has not complained in it either.

I liked it enough to buy one on Amazon and have them ship it to my sister for her upcoming baby arrival!

Customer Reviews

Great Graco
We've been using this seat for 8 months now and love it. DD just turned a year and is still under the limits for this seat. It is a HUGE, heavy seat so do keep that in mind. DD started using it when she was already 13 pounds so I have no idea what it would be like for a younger child. It is also true that the straps are too short to keep them out of the way. That really hasn't been an issue for us since dd is never put in asleep. She has slept in this seat for hours with no issues. We used it in the summer and didn't find she got any hotter than normal. I'd definitely recommend it.
gets the job done
I bought the sungride 32 in zurich because it was the best carseat(in official tests the best safetyscore). I didn't like the collors, still don't but I can live with it, my girl seemd to like the little figures on the canopy.
The seat looks very uncomfortable and is hot, it's not heavy on it's own( 4kg) but it is with my 4 month old (7kg)girl in it.
The sides of the chair are a bit high, good for safety of cours but my girl does't like it because she can'd move her arms. and she gets a heatrash on the sides of her arms if she's in it. eventhough I alway drive with the airconditioning on. So now i put a clothdiaper in the seat so she doesn't get in contact with the material of the chair.. I am going to look for cloth seatcovers.
Also even if I reset the belts it still presses in her thighs..(they are a thiny bit chubby. She also sitsup very straith.. I believe a bit too straight .. but then it scored best on safety.
All that said...If I do strap her in and start driving... she seems to enjoy it and then fall's asleep. We took a long trip of 3 hours a week ago.. and she slept all the way.. it even was a bompy road.
So important is.. if you buy this don't relay on using it as a carier. It's good for safety... and that's what's the most important for me.
Oh, And it's a hussle to fixate the base in the car, took my boyfriend an hour the first time... second time 10 minutes. and you can use the carseat without the base, there are instructions in the book telling you how to, so indeed a second base isn't nessesary.
Good luck.
GIANT SEAT
This seat is huge! I drive an aviator and it barely fits. my husband who is 6 1 cant sit with the seat behind him. There is no way you'll be poppin this seat out the car to snap into the stroller for long. 15 pound seat 15 pound baby... I can barely get it back in the car. My baby is only 4 months and I'm already shopping for a replacement....save your money.
Great car seat
This car seat is really nice and sturdy. The straps are super easy to adjust and tighten. The color scheme is good and would be good for a girl or a boy. The only problem we have noticed is that is does not breathe very well and when the baby sits for any period of time in the seat he starts to sweat really badly. We had him in the seat at the park and when we got home he had the worst heat rash (granted it is summer in southern Texas) but this has also happened to us indoors so be careful about that, but otherwise it is a very nice carseat.
It's a nightmare if your baby is ~5 pounds
DO NOT BUY THIS CAR SEAT IF YOUR BABY IS ~5 pounds.

Although the minimum weight is 5 pounds for this car seat, it was a
horrible experience with our 5 pound new born.

To give you an idea of how horrible the experience can be.

My wife fainted in a grocery store with Seizure, the baby was in breach position.
Doctors delivered the baby with a C-section. Baby had Jaundice. Had
to spend 4 sleepless nights in the hospital.

The stress/headaches of getting the new born home, in a 30 minute
drive was much more than all of the above combined.

It is tooooooooooo big for a 5 pound baby. We bought a car seat padding but even
after that, the baby was not comfortable in the seat.

IMHO Graco should change the minimum weight to 8 pounds or so.
