Best Baby Gift Ever!
I am so overwhelmed by the exhausting lists of baby registries these days that I decided to find a signature gift that would make life a lot simpler when baby showers came up. This Dr. Suess Box Set is PERFECT! I have given it to several friends/family members and it always seems to be greatly appreciated as they are cherished for a lifetime rather than another sleeper or bib or blanket that will be used a couple of times at most.
She finally loves it!
I bought this set in February of 2010, and the first reading did not go well. The pictures were too unfamiliar for her, also there's a page in "Hop on Pop" where a tiger is biting a boy's toe, and another boy was biting the tiger's tail, that was the killer. The tears started accompanied by a protest of "Me no like!". I placed the book away but left the set in plain sight.

After 4 more months, she gave the books another try and they are now a huge hit. They are requested day and night.

Having grown up on Dr. Seuss, and loving the word rhyming and patterns, I'm very pleased to share them with my daughter.
great books!
I bought these for my husband when we were expecting our first child. The baby is now here and we love reading these books to her as part of her bedtime routine. It's really a great collection.
Excellent starter set of Dr Seuss
These are great books. My children read them and wore them out. Now I'm buying for my grandchildren
I can read !!!
These were purchased for 3 of the 7 great grandchildren who can now read.
Their eyes light up when they figure out a word all by themselves. Dr. Seuss's
books enable pre school children to realize what 'accomplishment' feels like.

goodnight!
haha! i like this book, it does get a bit tiring, seems long, especially at first, but it's so cute in that dr. suess kind of way! Totally Dr. Suess!
One of Dr. Suess's best...
This book is wonderful to read. My husband and I read this to our four month old every night. My daughter enjoys looking at the pictures and the larger size helps hold her attention longer since she scans all the pages.

Dr. Seuss's Sleep Book
Not just a bedtime book, although it is one of the best around. I have used this book when tutoring dyslexic children. The alliterative rhymes on every pair of facing pages provides ample opportunity for young readers to practice their skills. In addition, each pair of facing pages is like a short, short story itself. This highly imaginative work is hilarious for the adult as well, making reading this book aloud a joy(the only way to really get the rhyme and humor), even when a child wants the book read over and over numerous times. Excellent book for children age five through adulthood!
Super Book that Actually Triggers Sleep!!
I have at least 3 yawns in the first two pages and my little one is normally out before the middle of the book.
One of the best bedtime stories, ever!
I've been reading this to my daughter every night for the past few nights, and she's always asleep by the end of it. It's fun to read, and the illustrations are wonderful. Another great Seuss classic!

love love love this book
My son got this book when he was 3 months old, and now he is 10 months. We read it everyday, and he loves it everyday. It is one of the few things that can keep him quiet. He loves the rhymes...especially the "pfiffer, pfeffer, pfeff" (I probably spelt them wrong), and loves to look at the pictures. The book is small enough for him to hold and turn the pages while I read. Each page has bright coloured images that keep him turning.
The book is also quite sturdy, and has stood up to his abuse and chewing. Many other board books have failed the test...they have bent and the pages have peeled off...but his alphabet book is going strong.
It's his first dr. seuss book and now I am getting some more and hoping he will love them too.
Cute book!
This is one of several books I bought for my niece on her 1st birthday. A year later she still loves these books.
A little disappointed
I was really excited when I saw Dr. Seuss books on here for a cheaper price. I was a little disappointed when the book arrived because it is very small. I was thinking it would be the bigger hardback size, but it actually is a smaller size - like the "teether" type books with the hard pages. I will still enjoy reading it to my little guy, but it just wasn't what I was expecting when I made the purchase.
review by worldoflil.com
While I am a HUGE fan of board books - I agree with the review that says this version is not nearly as good as the original versions. That said, the original version is one of the best alphabet books of all time. I just don't think the board book is worth it. Go for the original!
learning book
This little simple book is wonderful for teaching the alphabet. It has colorful and strange characters, sure to keep your child excited and learning, and its rhyming rythem will help them with their phonics.

If you want to teach your child the alphabet this is a good place to start.

awesome choice
My daughter recieved this book as a graduation gift and while reading it, I would laugh at the way it's written, obviously a Dr. Suess book, it also brought tears to my eyes in how true it is as young adults move from high school on to the next chapter in their lives. I had to turn around and purchase some to give as gifts also. I think it is the perfect gift for a high school graduate.
Oh, the Places You'll Go!
I have given copies of this book to several high school graduates over the years. This time I gave it to my niece who will be attending Texas Tech in the fall. She absolutely loves it and says it will stay on her desk to remind he of the future. I love the book myself and so do my own children who got their copies upon graduation years ago from one of my friends. A real winner!!!
Great graduation gift for H.S. or College!
Book seller delivered on price, quality and shipping! If you need a gift for a graduate of H.S. or College, do not discount this whimsical writing from Dr. Seuss. While it may be appropriate for small children, this book is really meaningful for 17 to 24 year old young adults.
The Chief Rabbit Reviews Oh, the Places You'll Go
[...]

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

You may think that Oh, the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss is an unusual choice for the book review, however, this is a fantastic business book. It has been ranked in the top 10 of business books of all time! The reason I choose it is because you can read so much into it, it can be used for lots of different aspects of business and social media is one of them.

Here are some extracts from the book which can help you with your social media marketing...

You'll look up and down streets. Look `em over with care.
About some you will say, "I don't choose to go there."
With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet
you're too smart to go down any not-so-good street

And you may not find any
you'll want to go down.
In that case, of course,
you'll head straight out of town

Get it? Use your head and choose your social networks carefully and don't feel you need to stay where everyone else is, do what's right for you.

You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they're darked.
A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?

And IF you go in, should you turn left or right...
or right-and-three-quarters? Or, maybe, not quite?
Or go around back and sneak in from behind?
Simple it's not, I'm afraid you will find,
for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.

This place where the streets are not marked is for many of us social media, we don't know which way to turn, how to make up our minds on the best way to go. It's all about exploration and trying things to see if they work and if they don't then change them.

You'll get mixed up, of course,
as you already know.
You'll get mixed up
with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life's
a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.

Words of encouragement, but also words of warning, you can't be complacent and stick with the same all the way along, you need to balance and change things up.

I love this book, and will often go back and read it, as it is all about life's ups and downs, but also encouraging, and enlightening if you can apply the lessons in it to what you are dealing with in business.

Check it out and have a laugh, remember to make it fun and your readers will enjoy it to!

Next week there will be a more "serious" book, but until then enjoy your social media exploits.

counting and colors
Well every child must learn counting and their colors. This book delivers just that, Dr Seuss had the right idea when this book was written, he combined rhyming with counting and incorporated colors, any child is sure to have fun and learn all at the same time with this clever little book.

I read it to my children when they were small, and i will read it to my grandchildren someday, its a classic that will go down in history.

mini stories
I thought this book starts off great, one fish two fish, red fish blue fish, etc etc, but then it ends the fish part and goes on in random mini short stories. For this reason, i think it's just OK. Confusing to my toddler I suppose, it doesn't keep his attention...since it skips around a lot. wish the fish part was longer or the entire book. wasn't impressed. thought it would be better based on reviews
I NEVER RECEIVE THE ITEAM
i WAIT AND WAIT AND STILL WAITING I NEVER RECEIVE THE ITEM, I contactthe seller and they never contact me back so I don't recomend this seller.
Love, love, love it!
Who can honestly say they don't like Dr. Seuss?? (Okay - maybe a few can...). But, every kid I have ever known, big or small, loves this book ~ and I am one of them. It's fun, colorful, goofy and can be read over and over again without getting stale.
Good book, my son loves it
My son really likes listening to this, the last few days we've read it a lot. Though frankly, this isn't one my favorite Dr. Seuss books. It's not bad, but it's just not as fun for me to read out loud as some of the other, that's all.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Thanksgiving is everywhere considered the marker for the acceptable time for families to start dragging their worn boxes marked “X-mas” in faded vicious ink down from the attic or up from the basement. Mom or dad tests the strands of colored lights in a wall socket before hanging them because. without fail, you have to buy another each year to substitute for a dead one. Then after you light up the tree, the family carefully unwraps the ornaments, each with a story to tell.

When I was a kid, it was somewhere in between testing for reusable coruscate light strands and unwrapping glass ornaments from 1978 when I would run to find our copy of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” by Dr. Seuss. The thin pages between the hardback binding were crinkled and folded because of the enjoyment given this story. I’d bring it downstairs and sit on the sofa next to the tree that my parents were decorating, pitching it every so often myself, to read “Grinch” for the first of many times that year.
