How Many FishI bought this book for my grandson. He is beginning to read. He really enjoyed this book!
Excellent for small children
All children love it! My three year old learned how to read five words within the first week from this book alone! I now take those cards off the sight words flashcards keyring and regularly quiz her. Parents, please let them quiz you too! They love it. Pretend that you do not know some of the words in the book or on the cards once they know them, such as "fish." Only do this once you've read it a couple of times and the child knows the word(s). Also, do not pretend with words they have mastered. Now that annoys my three old. I have seven of these I Can Read Books at Stage 1.
Fun for counting, discussing
I got this for my 2 year old granddaughter who loves books. So far it has been a big hit. I am hoping that when she learns to read, she will be able to read it herself. The pictures are very good at telling the story and there are many opportunities to count and discuss what is happening. The words are simple and repetitive which she likes. Mom, Great Grandma and I have all read it to her and all have enjoyed her reactions to the predicament of the yellow fish.
Excellent book for beginner readers
This is an excellent book for beginner readers. My son not only learned to read it, but he enjoys reading this book.
Good book for kindergarten
My 6 yr old is in kindergarten and this book was a little bit of a challenge, but very readable because of repitition and rhyming.

Pictures didn't come through for kindleI downloaded this because it was a picture book and my daughter is always wanting me to read her something from my kindle. So, I got it and thought seeing the graphics would be pretty neat. However, they didn't come through. The story is obviously good and I still read it to her, but if you want it for the pics, then don't waste your time they don't come through.
Nice stories but no pictures
I downloaded this book to see if pictures showed up. There were not any pictures but it is a great collection of fairy tales and nursery rhymes

disappointed!I was excited to find the Shredderman available at Amazon but when I tried to show the DVD to my students after reading the book aloud, I was dissappointed. The end of the movie was unwatchable because it kept breaking up. I returned the DVD for credit.
LUV THE VIDEO
while the movie is great fun and a good story, the outstanding feature of this video is devon's music video in the extras. i was quite surprised to hear his voice. it is not in the disney/nick genre. he was supposed to do a cd and i would certainly buy it.

STUART — Santa Claus came to the Stuart Fire Concern Saturday and brought with him a message for the group of children seated on hay bales in the engine bay at the department headquarters at 800 S.E. Martin Luther Ruler Blvd.
“The reason we’re here is because of books, right?,” said Santa Claus as he held a copy of “The Mitten,” a winter-themed picture soft-cover by Jan Brett. “Books are very important.”
The Christmas character, played by Lorida resident Tommy Benn for the incitement, had come for the Literacy Rescues Lives fundraiser held at the station by First Book of Martin and St, Lucie counties.
First Tome of Martin and St. Lucie, part of a national nonprofit group that donates books to children, has been operating for more than a yea, and is now planning to donate multiple books per infant to the 353 students at Port Salerno Elementary, said Chairwoman Melissa Callaham. The group has purchased $2 books from the First Libretto National Book Bank for students at Indiantown Middle School and the Future Generations of St. Lucie music program.
