No better than the free dipole that comes with your tuner
Although in nice packaging, and high quality connections, this antenna actually received worse than the factory supplied dipole that came with my receptor HD. I had trouble receiving even high power stations with the c-crane antenna. I returned it the same day and went back to my regular dipole.
The best I've tried so far!
Compared to other indoor antennas I've had (tried)... the C Crane works the best! Most recently I used a Terk FM II. (which wasn't much better than the whip antenna on the radio itself)

At home I have no reception problems. I listen mostly to AM anyway. I also live only 10 miles from the majority of FM stations in this area.

What I bought the FM Reflect for, was to use on my little Tecsun portable radio at work. Where I work is only 13 miles to those same radio towers. Once I step into the building though, the reception is cut by 75-80%. It's like a tomb, and where I sit is about 50-60ft from the nearest window. With only the whip antenna, I'm lucky if I get a few channels...poorly. One of the stations I prefer, is 10 miles in the opposite direction, and operates with only 7100 watts. That station I cannot hear with the whip antenna. I could sometimes just barely pick it up on the Terk, and had just as frustrating a time using a very long trailing cord FM antenna that another radio supplied. BUT... the C Crane Reflect DOES pick this station up with greater ease. It's far from perfect, but much better. It also took me awhile to figure out the best position for it too.

As others have said, the C Crane Reflect is very thick, using RG coax, and manipulating it into various "pretzel" shapes can be time consuming, but sometimes worth it in the end.

This is why I say the Crane FM Reflect antenna works the best...from the ones I've had. AND, if it can perform in my TOUGH environment...then it can surely be an improvement in most other situations.
Sturdy material
This is a heavy duty antenna. Unfortunately, it did not help reception in my situation for the one favorite local radio station that keeps dropping in/out. I tried every possible configuration imaginable to eliminate the dropping. I don't really have the option to relocate the TV/components. Not being a techy, it amazes that my new expensive receiver has these challenges while a $10 radio receives the signal just fine. I decided to keep it just because of it's sturdiness.
best of four antennas I've used
I live in an area with lots of hills that make FM reception difficult for a couple of my favorite stations. I started with a basic folded-dipole antenna, and have since tried various others -- two different powered antennas by Terk, and the C. Crane Reflect Antenna, which I've had for a number of years. None has been completely satisfactory on the weak stations, but the Reflect Antenna is the best of the four. (Results were somewhat variable. Occasionally a powered antenna worked better, but on most days the best results came from the Reflect Antenna. In all cases, manipulating the positions of wires can make a difference.)

I recently replaced my old stereo receiver with a new one (Harman Kardon HK 3390), and now both stations come in better than ever before, although I still have to use mono mode to reduce static. The combination of the Reflect Antenna with the new receiver has made these two stations very listenable, although not perfect.

In short, I recommend the Reflect Antenna, but other factors -- the quality of your tuner/receiver and the strength of the radio signal -- make it impossible to predict how this antenna will perform in a particular situation.
Save Your Money!
This thing is a complete JOKE! I bought it to boost the reception of my CCradio Plus weather band reception on the recommendation of a support tech at CC Crane. To my surprise, the reception actually got WORSE when this thing was clipped to the whip antenna than without it. I tried moving it around in every conceivable position and shape I could think of and it never improved the signal strength or the audio quality at all. As I said, it actually made both worse!

At least for my application, I would suggest you save your money. I am sure a $2.00 dipole would have done the same thing, since all this thing is is a dipole made out of RG56 cable!

What a complete waste of time!

Attractive & Convenient, But Not a Miracle-Worker
I used this antenna to replace the cheap dipole that came with my stereo receiver in hopes of clearing up spotty reception on a few of my favorite stations. I didn't expect miracles, but I was disappointed that there was only marginal improvement in the clarity of two stations.

Still, the Terk FM+ is better than the dipole is two ways: it's much better-looking and it takes up less space. If you don't want to spend more on a better-performing antenna, it's a decent value for the price. It even includes an adapter for those without a coax input on their receiver, which might save you a few bucks.
Better looking than wire dipole
It gets no better reception than a twin lead dipole antenna but it looks better and allows more flexible placement.
I never received the product!
I never got the product so how would ZI know? I am still waiting for it... so right now, I would give it a zero.Terk FM Only Stereo Antenna FM+
Didn't work for us
This antenna didn't work for us. We have two small stereos that had mild static using the cheap dipole antennas that came with them. So we wanted to upgrade to a small but better antenna to get our favorite stations in consistently without static. This antenna made the static worse on both stereos. Would have returned if we hadn't already dumped the packaging. Wish I knew why it worked so well for other users. The connection to each stereo was solid and moving the antenna around the room didn't help the reception.
Don't buy it
It works just like a piece of wire, not even worth my time to send it back.

The Morning Skate: Capping the Hawks, Islanders Dads and the Latest Flame

Huet’s cap hit is $5.625 million, Campbell’s a extravagant $7.14 million. It makes them virtually untradable. By comparison, Tallon signed a true elite jock Marian Hossa this past June to a front-loaded deal with a $5.233 cap hit (achieved because that deal expires in 2021, when Hossa will be 44 years old. That’s Chris Chelios region).

Tallon aggravated his problem by not properly qualifying a few of their restricted free agents last June and was forced to indicate them for more than he should have. Tallon was out by mid-July, replaced by Stan Bowman.

Crafting these deals was Bowman’s first big test and he’s had to over the “tagging rule,” a complicated formula that caps the salaries committed for upcoming seasons even though the existent cap number isn’t known until the summer. (For more, see this blog post from last month by TSN Bob McKenzie ).

It’s curious that the Hawks signed these players now rather than after the spice when they won’t face these tagging pressures. There is some suspicion that Chicago might have to trade a player to fit these new signings in under the tagging control (with defensemen Brent Sopel or Cam Barker being talked about as possible sacrifices ), but that doesn’t seem to have happened and if it doesn’t, Bowman’s first moves look wildly top.
