Best Economy Seat Ever!
For the price this is the best booster seat I have ever seen. We looked at numerous before we purchased two of these as secondary seats to be used for traveling (airplane and rental car). We were skeptical because of the price but have not been disappointed at all. Good quality. Lightweight to transport. Solidly built. Still confortable with good padding. Most important - provides full 5-point harness protection up through greater weights which allows long-term safety as the kids grow too. Child safety is paramount and we were not disappointed with the quality of this product compared to many other products in this price range. Very comparable to mid price range ($100 -$200) products we looked at. However - we do not use these seats for our primary seats - there are better built seats that provide greater protection and comfort - although at three times the price. If you are looking for a secondary seat or are in need of reasonable cost without sacrificing safety then I fully recommend this product.

granddaughter loves itProduct arrived in 24 hours, was as described, price was quite reasonable. The fabric can be removed and washed which is great as there was a chocolate thing going on the first day she used it. I like the safety and our little Princess loves the cup holder.
Very good but Evenflo Big Kid Booster is Better
This is decent but I needed more support for my "little/big kid". Plus many of the other parents mentioned the benefits and I definitely agree that the back support is helpful. That is one of the reasons I direct you to the Big Kid by Evenflo. Plus the Big Kid Booster converts into a backless booster as well. I have since tossed this one into my husbands car, and use the Big Kid one in my car. The Big Kid has more cup holders and the costs difference is not that much greater. By pass this one and look at the Big Kid by Evenflo. The head bopping comments are somewhat true but it is still worth buying. This chair does not have the head bopping because their is no back support at all. So choose.. support or minor irritation. The few times her head has fell forward when she slept in the Big Kid I just reached back and pushed her back. It works. Lastly, the padding on this is minimal and the hand rest area is also skimmpy. She like the Big Kid one the best. I must admit I had to play some psychological tricks though because she thought this was liberating and exact opposite of the regular car seat. So I had to convince her that the Big Kid one will look like this in a few more months and she will still be a big girl. So the call is yours based on your needs but you may want to spend a "little" more so your little one can enjoy the ride. Safe driving.
Car seat
It says it is good for 30 lbs +. My daughter is 3 and 1/2 and about 35 lbs and there is no way that she can use this seat in my car. The seat belt fits right across her neck. Maybe in a compact car? I will keep until she gets bigger. Thought I could use it as a back up for when I travel in other cars so I don't have to unhook the whole 5 point harness car seat. Maybe in about a year or two. Otherwise it seems like a decent product.

Good Deal For The MoneyI bought this booster seat for my 4 1/2 year old because it was the cheapest one on the IIHS "Best Bets List". My son likes it a lot. My only complaint is that the back comes off the seat very easily which makes it hard to carry without having it fall apart. I know it's made to come off, it would just be easier to move from one car to another if it didn't come apart every time you took it out of the car. It's good for the cost though.
A Best Buy
I researched booster seats when it was time to buy this, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it top marks. It seems a little flimsy when you assemble it, but I am used to the heavy hard shell car seats. My boy seems to like it, and it's easy for him to get into and out of.
Not for minivans
After I purchased 2 of these seats (one for our minivan and one for our sedan), I come to find out that it can't be used with seatbelts that come out of a side panel. Since all the seatbelts in our van come from the side (as opposed to behind the seat above each passenger as in our sedan) there is no location in the van appropriate for this seat. Luckily we made it work by using both boosters in the sedan and keeping our two convertible seats in the van, but we had wanted to have one of each in each vehicle. Since I'm pretty certain I'm not the only mom driving a minivan, I thought I should share the information.
Good Value - Easy, Sturdy & Light
We've been using the Cosco Pronto Belt Positioning Booster Seat for about a month now. It is easy to move from vehicle to vehicle and easily adjustable for height. It uses the existing vehicle seat belt and it appears comfortable enough - no complaint from our little passenger. She's even fallen asleep in it a couple times. She loves the cup holder and the seat really makes her feel like a "big girl". The fabric is easy to remove and is hand washable. I love the fact that we can now use our vehicle's 60-40 seat split since the seat fits easily within the seat belt space. Overall, very pleased with the product's looks, durability and functionality for the price - good value.
Best BUY! This is the safest, most sensible booster on the market.
Normally people don't look for bargains when it comes to safety, let alone your child's safety. However, this is a bargain you cannot overlook. The Britax goes for $300, there are other models on Amazon and at Babies R US for $100. I got 3 of these for a little over $100! These days people with more than 1 car, and with family members aiding in child care can use more than 1 car seat.
So here are the facts, Consumer Reports rated the Cosco Protex a best buy, however that model is discontinued. So then I found the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety had the most recent reviews, December 2009. They rated the Cosco Pronto a "Best Buy". Basically with the booster seat you are elevating the child so that a shoulder seat belt with come across a child's shoulder. They are designed for children 30lbs to 100lbs. Now that state laws require children to be in booster seats longer this is nice because we will not have to buy anymore seats now we have this one.
The Cosco is simple and my daughter cannot get out of our car's seat belt once I pull it out all the way and have it lock into place. In her car seat she would take the shoulder harness off, making it less safe. So the fact that this is simple, the cloth parts can be removed to be washed, and we are utilizing the seat belt of our car which is stronger than any carseat belts, I definitely recommend this booster seat. Plus you can buy 3 of these for the price of 1 of the other brands.

Best Booster seat!I bought this booster seat for my 4.5 year old daughter because She had outgrown her 5 point toddler carseat. I originally bought only one, for my daily use car (Ford Expedition) and I loved it so much I purchased another one for the grandparents car.
What I like about this booster seat is the fact that it positions her perfectly, and the seat belt shoulder strap doesn't dig into her neck, and the lap belt is not riding up on her belly. The cover is also removable, and the cupholder will hold a variety of different sized drinks. It is very lightweight, and my daughter can buckle, and unbuckle herself. The price can't be beat. I paid 17 bucks for the two I have! That is a great deal, considering she will be using them for the next 4 or so years! I highly recommend this seat for the child who is at least 4 years old and 40 pounds!
good fit
This car seat is the perfect fit in any car. I bought one on amazon and then had to buy another because the quality of it was great. So now I have one in each car. This car seat is wonderful in width and also very easy to use. Its cup holder really works. Nothing falls out of the cup holder. The cup holder can also can be removed and thrown in the dishwasher to clean. I have washed the seat padding 3 times in the washer and dried it in the dryer...and it didn't shrink at all. Also all accessories fit on this car seat. Whether it is a tray that attaches for play and eating or a all around pillow for your toddler to drift asleep while in the car.
