It worksI was skeptical at first but it came free with a purchase I made for my phone. I do not get service in at my home location inside or outside. I put this in the phone and get service outside now. I still don't get it outside but it did boost the service signal outside to 2 bars when I had none before.
bought for my neighbor and they like it
In my area we do not get good cell phone reception I told my neighbor (and friend) about this boosgter and they surprised them with it. well they said they do get better reception on their phone than they got without it.
Complete waste of money.
Want to try one? They sell these at the dollar stores. It does nothing to improve your signal.
It works - well a bit
Bought this item on ebay via auction for 6cents + free shipping! LOL. Just wonna test out the product, if it doesn't work, oh well, it's just 6 cents. Came with a thin envelope and opened it. A thin piece of sticker and didn't expect it will work. Carefully sticked it inside my Nokia 2720 phone, turned on my phone, couldn't notice any difference in the beginning. However when i went to the "dead zone" of my work place. I usually couldn't get any reception there. But amazingly, i got 1 bar! i called my wife, it actually went through. I guess this does work a bit.
Worthless
I bought a pack of these years ago thinking that it might do something for me.... There is a reason it is so cheap. It is nothing more than a sticker made to look like some kind of super thin circuit board. You are better off putting one of those smiley face or star stickers from the kindergarten "good job" board on your phone.

Unknown if these really make a differenceIf I had to bet on it I'd say these don't work. However for the price of a cigar I'm willing to take the gamble. I don't expect a significant improvement; a small one will do. In a particular location, I need a weak signal vs. getting no signal; if it accomplishes that it will be a win.
NOT for Blackberry
I dont know whether this works on other cell phones, but its NOT for BlackberryRim Blackberry curve 8310 Unlocked. It is required to fix this antenna on top of cell phones internal antenna (beneath battery in most cells). In the case of BB, it is not possible to fix this on intetnal antenna, as it has sim card and sd card slots.

Great product. Very simple yet very useful.
We live in Long Island, NY & in our specific area, we have a poor reception for AT&T along with many dead spots in the house. I also have four iPhones (all of them are heavy users), and we used to get a lot of dropped calls.
I heard about this boosters from TV, and thought about giving it a try, since I was getting 10 pack under 3$!!!
So, I sticked one of them on the back side of the iPhone, 1 to 1/4 inch below Apple logo (since the cell tower antenna module is located right underneath) & restarted the iPhone.
Now I am getting 5 full bars that are much more consistent than earlier, less dropped calls & I get reception everywhere in the house (including basements, where I practically had no reception). I have also noticed fewer dropped calls.
In short, if you are an iPhone user like me, its gonna to work, as long as you place it correctly. And I know that poor reception & dropped calls are major issues with the iPhone. Other phones should notice a boost in reception too, but since I have only tried with iPhone, I cannot be 100% sure about others.

I went to purchase one of these earlier and when I realized the benefit, I bought the 10 pack so I could help friends as well. Most reviews on this product give mixed views... some say they don't work at all, don't waste your money while others say that they did get a better signal. First, on the instructions for the metallic "sticker", it says that if you receive 0 to 1 bar, not even a POWERED phone booster will help you... you MUST have at least 2 bars. I have poor reception in my apartment building and get 2 bars in the house.. I have to stick my head out the window to talk on the phone. When I installed the product, I immediately got an xtra bar... I would recommend this to anyone with 2 to 3 bars that wants to get a better signal...
Doesn't work
Didn't work for me... even with two of those at the same time. I live in Los Angeles and just didn't get me any more bars!!.

For signal boosting, this does nothing
I purchased a screen protector for my phone and received one of these as a "free gift with purchase." I remember seeing these on TV years ago before I even had a cell phone. I figured I would try it out since I got it as a free bonus, so why not? I followed the directions (peel off and place under battery; replace battery; turn on phone...etc.) and what happened? Nothing. My phone signal did not improve at all. I left it on for a week and went to various locations. My signal did not change anywhere I went. Nothing was "boosted" in any way. I peeled the sticker off and parts of this "magic gold signal trapper" came off with it. I don't think this is any different than a sticker or a Band-aid. I bet a Band-aid would probably provide more of a signal than this item. Don't waste your money. If you get it for free, great, but don't "install" it on your phone. It's pointless. If your phone signal is that bad constantly, switch providers. Don't buy these Snake Oil Stickers.
cell phone signal JAMMER..not booster...!!
I had lot of expectations from this product. I tried on my Nokia7610 Cellphone. I was getting 2 bars for T-Mobile provider in my home in Albany,NY area. I called up t-mobile and they said, there are only 2 bars coverage promised in my area. So i bought this product and after using one and then two stickers, my cell phone stopped connecting to network instead of boosting the signal! I have thrown away all the stickers in trash. It might have worked for other people for different kind of provider. If you are getting weak signal, call up your service provider and check the coverage in your area and try to resolve the issue. If it does not, either change the cell phone or change service provider. Buying this kind of cheap solution is just a waste of time and money.
Hard to tell if they worked
Hard to tell if they worked, but I had really bad reception with ATT in my area since I moved here from an area where ATT was the big seller. It did seem to kind of improve after I put multiple on.

ZBoostThe zBoost is an OK product for someone who lives where there is good cellular coverage outdoors (3 bars or more). If you live in a rural area where cellular reception is poor outdoors the zBoost will do little for you. Service bounces from 1 to 2 bars outdoors at my house; the zBoost is only able to boost the signal in a 5 foot diamter circle around the device... customer service now tells me that I need to spend about $200 more to get directional antennas to make it work right...
Instillation was also a big problem. They tell you there needs to be 20 feet of verticle seperation between the antenna and the base unit... but what they don't tell you this will not work if you have a metal roof. The antenna has to be atleast 8 feet above the metal roof(or any other metal) or it freaks out and will not work at all. It's a real trick to build a 30-foot antenna tower, without using any metel, in order to get the antenna high enough to make it work.
If you have a good outdoor signal this is an ok product, if you have poor outdoor signal, don't waste your $.
TOTALLY UNRELIABLE
I purchased this to increase my signal at my lake house.... the unit does work, but is totally unreliable. There are times when the lights go red, red flashing, I've tried all manner of things such as changing the position of the antena etc... I even called their customer service, for all intents and purposes, customer service sucks. I would NOT recommend purchasing this unit. It is not stable at all, I would have done just as good if I had taken my hundreds of dollars spent, and lite fire to them. I am and EXTREMELY disastisfied customer.
It Actually Works!
I bought this for my parents who live out in the middle of nowhere in Virginia. I bought 50 feet of extension cable and put the exterior antenna up on their roof. As soon as I did that, both of my parents could use their Alltel phones in the house. Previously, they couldn't get a signal without driving half a mile away.
My Verizon aircard also worked using this extender, though the signal was still weak. My AT&T iPhone still had no reception, but I guess you can't have everything.
I didn't see how this thing could possibly work, but it does. Just take the time to install it the way that the instructions tell you to. The more separation you can put between the base and the exterior antenna, the better reception you will get.
Delivered and Worked As Advertised!
As advertised, Amazon delivered our zBoost in under 24 hrs. I suppose it helps that it was shipped out of Louisville, Kentucky where UPS is headquartered. Anyway, we set it up in under 5 minutes (time depends on how you want to run the cable) and it worked great. We tested T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T carriers with our PDAs and even a mystery pay-by-minute track phone. All carriers were between three to five bars of service where there was absolutely none prior to setting up the zBoost. Anyway, small paragraph of our setup here. We have a metal shelter, and initially I was concerned the metal would affect our externally connected antenna - it didnt. The attachment piece for the external antenna is made of an insulation type plastic so separation was easy between our hard shelter and placement of the antenna. The zBoost we placed center of our shelter inside against a metal wall, and as I described above, no issues. Excellent little device, and now we'll see about its endurance...
No signal strength when using more than 75' of cable
Sitting only 2 feet away from the base I still can't get a clear signal. I mounted the antenna on my roof above the roofline per the instructions. While on the roof, my cell phone shows 2 to 3 bars. I had to run 100 feet of coax cable (one 75' section and one 25' section) to get the base where I need it. The kit comes with 75' of cable and the instructions do say that the signal may decrease if you use longer cable than 75'. So if you can not place the base where you need it with 75' of cable - beware!

I have purchased and installed two of these units. The first one was in a steel building where I had 4 bars of signal on the outside and less than 2 bars on the inside. The unit improved my signal inside to 5 bars of signal. The second was in a home where the calls would break up and drop even though there was a signal showing on the phone. Now we have clear reception and transmission. We all use either Blackberrys or I-Phones.
Did not work
I have a seasonal property that has always had limited cell coverage. My LG phone had 1 bar, but the I-Phone showed no signal, or 1 bar until I tried to make a call. So I tried the z-Boost. The I-Phone did not provide a good signal indication, but my son's phone had a signal of 4 bars at one location on the porch roof. So he held the antenna there, and we started the z-Boost below the roof. The result was a resounding no signal on the I-Phone. Basically the z-Boost did not work.
Works really well!
I got this for my parents - as their house is brick and got terrible reception inside. With AT&T they were getting 1, 2 bars at most. After this was installed, they got 5 bars most of the time. Very surprised this works so well!
