Great Swing
This is a wonderful swing. The newer model plugs in as well as batteries so that is a huge plus but the rechargeable work as long as you have two sets.

Great product, possible shipping damage
This swing is wonderful for newborns - 4 month olds. My son is 4 months old today (~15lbs.) and still likes to swing and sleep in it, but he his getting a bit big for it. Look out for when your baby might lean forward and slump their head in their lap in this or any other cradle swing.

The swing shipped on time but arrived with one corner crushed in. The motor on the swing is noiser than a neighbor's similar swing. This noise may or may not be due to the shipping. The noise is not too much but is why I did not give this swing a 5.

YOU MAY NOT KNOW: Underneath the cradle, near the head end, is a plastic part with raised bumps. This part is a like a clamp. You can squeeze it to adjust the incline of the cradle if you wish to have your little one lay down more versus sit up a little more. I assembled the swing but did not see/read any reference to this adjustable clamp. My husband found it. It may be useful to know.

I don't know what the netting is for. Decoration? If it has a function, I haven't found one.

I LOVE the overhead mirror, and your little one (especially around 1-2months) will too. Not all cradle swings have this mirror.

The cover is easily washable.

Would recommend!

DO NOT BUY THIS!
Do not purchase this product! Motor broke after six months of light use with a normal size baby! Unless you keep your receipt there is very little you can do! Even at that if it is over 60 days you are totally screwed. Called Mattel could not help. Called Toys r Us and they would not help. Buy at your own risk! And opt for a swing you can plug into a wall. You will save a bundle on battries!

BEST SWING OUT THERE!
I loved this swing from day one. I couldnt wait to put my son in it since it looked SO comfy! Boy, was I right!? My son had colic and cried for 4 months straight..this swing was my sanity! : ) He would immediately stop crying the second we put him it. He literally slept in this day and night for the first few months of his life. I loved that the fabric was SUPER easy to wash and it never lost its softness. If you are in the market for a wonderful swing, you have found it!

A Must Have
I could not have gotten through the last 3 months without this swing. Our son loves it!!! The only 2 things I wished was different on this product are:
1. the music played longer than 15 minutes. I find myself having to run to the swing to turn it on again and again
2. the battery usage.

By far, this was the best babyshower gift we ever received. I wish they made a version for bigger kids.

LOVE THIS SWING!
This is a fantastic swing. My daughter loves it, too. We got it when she was 3 weeks old, while she was still in that "hold me every waking minute" phase, and this was the first time since she was born when we could put her down without her crying. That in and of itself made it worth the money!

I wouldn't say it's easy to put together (lots of parts, all individually wrapped), but it's not difficult, either.

I love that you can turn the seat all the way around and swing in any direction you want. The music is annoying to my husband and me, but it lulls her to sleep, so I'm willing to overlook that!

The seat itself is pretty small, so she will outgrow it soon (she's 4 months old now). It has a very large footprint, so you'll need a good deal of room to accommodate it. And the swing motor is kind of loud.

I will say one thing about the colors: They aren't for everyone. They are chocolate and sage, with cranberry trim. Out of sheer luck, it matches our living room. However, this could clash horribly with most color schemes.

Overall, LOVE this swing!

Could be better
I ordered the Fisher-Price Zen Cradle Swing as they had a different kind of cradle swing at my sons daycare and it wasn't available for purchase on Amazon. The Zen collection is definitely more money than the other brands. When the product came, it was missing the mobile and I have yet to see that from the company. The swing itself does the trick and he sleeps well, but the problem is mom and dad don't sleep because it is so loud. It is rediculous how loud this swing is at all times!! I would definitley NOT recommend buying this type of swing if YOU want to sleep.

Fabulous swing!
We waited until our son was 4 weeks old before assembling this swing. My husband did the assembly, so I can't say much for the instruction that go with it. We chose to use the battery function because we're overseas and don't want to plug this into an adapter. Actually, the battery function sold us on this swing when deciding on a purchase.

I like that the base snaps out and you can choose whether to have it swing side to side or top to bottom. You can also just snap it out and place the main seat area on the floor. It comes with a buckle to strap the little one in, and a built in 'cover'. I like the songs and environmental sounds, they are decent and not annoying. The unit as a whole is easy to move around (remove the seat first, then carry the base unit to where you need it). So far we are very pleased with our purchase.

Product looks great, but the delivery was the nightmare
This is a gift for my daughter and she loves it. Lucky that she has it at all. I ordered and had it shipped to my office since the box was large and bulky. They delivered is on a Saturday when the office was closed and just left it on the front door. The front door of a closed business on a busy street in a warehouse district. Luckily an employee came into work on Saturday and rescued the package off the street. It would have never made it until Monday.

Good swing, just make sure the hinge is aligned
When we first put it together, it would not swing on it's own power at all, no matter what we tried (with a 9 lb baby inside it). Then I saw that where the swing hinges was rubbing...not the side by the batteries/controls, but the other sides. The swing frame is really wobbly and loose (even thought it's assembled correctly), so you have to make sure it's adjusted so it's not rubbing on the left side pivot point.

I wish they would have made the frame better so that it aligns on it's own, and doesn't wobble around so much.

Not a good investment...
Our baby loves this swing if....we push it every two minutes to keep it going. This defeats its purpose. It says it has 5 settings, but they are all the same. Basically the mechanism is not strong enough to swing the swing, even when it's empty. It says it can swing a baby up to 25lbs, are baby is 12lbs and it fails to do the job.

I'm so sleep deprived, the last thing I want to do is pack this swing up and try to deal with Amazon customer service and return it....that's where they get you!

essential could be better
My 2 month old loves the motion of this swing. I dislike the songs as you can not choose which song you want or the tempo of the songs. The music also only plays for a short ammount of time before it stops and you have to restart. THis swing folds easily though is still a little bulky when folded but a nice feature. I am also worried about how the swing will move when he gets a little heavier. The batteries have lasted a month and are still going strong. Over all a great purchase for the price.

Great alternative soother--short term
As the grandmother who has been about the park a few times--I wanted my daughter to have this, as an alternative way to soothe the newborn--especially given she has a 3 1/2 year old too. A first-time parent may not understand this product, but a second-timer might appreciate the extra pair of hands it gives a stay-at-home mom with a baby. Just remember to use the belt to snap in EVERY time, they can fall from this without that. And this doesn't solve all problems, only is a tool.

Works well, but not easy to travel with.
I purchased a travel swing because we move often for my husband's job. I had the impression that this swing folded up fairly compactly, but it really does not. I have found that I have to take it apart completely to make it fit in a small enough space. Another thing that I don't love about it is that the slowest speed seems pretty fast. My baby is going on four months old and he is just now big enough to really use it. That being said, it does work well and the bright colors are fun for the baby to look at.

LOVE LOVE LOVE: A MUST BUY!
I got this swing in Jan of 2009 when my son was born. He loved it so so much! He would still love it if he didn't weigh too much to use it! It turns to face 3 different directions and some more in between. The music is nice. There is a jungle sounding song, sleepy time music and a louder play time one.. I never used it. Neither my son nor I liked that one. You can make the mobile turn or not. The seat cover is easy to take off and wash. So are the buckles and their straps.

I have another baby due in December and this one will definitely be using this swing! If it broke (and it hasn't yet!!) I would buy another and another and another. I recommend it to everyone!

Questioning the quality...
An hour after receiving we installed. The music worked, was very soothing, the colorful mobile leaves went up and down. However, the swing did nothing. We assumed it needed a push start, nothing. We switched outlets, used batteries, all ending in the same result. Naturally, I was upset. Immediately I called the customer service line on the back of the manual, they asked for the info on the warranty card, then informed me that they would send out a brand new motor, which included the mobile and toys. I was SO RELIEVED! I did not have to pack the whole thing up again and return it. She also informed me that because I had provided her with the warranty card info, my product was registered under it's one year warranty, and I would not need to send in the card. The representative on the phone was very nice, and professional. I am an extremely happy momma! I will definitely continue to purchase from their company.

Best Swing
I had this swing for my son. I love that it has a pull-in for the wall so you aren't spending an arm & a leg on batteries every month. I love that it's a cradle swing that turns into a regular swing. The mobile kept my son happy along with the cute music. Worth every penny. I also purchased this swing for a friend of mine as a baby shower gift. Her daughter enjoys it too. Great nap place!

Unusally fast at low speeds and other comments
I purchased this swing after many hours of research. After receiving this product - I assembled it to find the following functions unacceptable:
- Yes - Motor isn't the best. But it is as loud as the music.
- With the seat in the front-facing position - set at the lowest level for swinging - the speed is the same as if it was set at the highest setting (very fast). I tested with both 8 lbs weights and 14 lbs weights - and the conclusion was the same. High speed. (may be a defective product)
- Set at the med to high speed to accommodate an older infant 15 - 25 lbs the whole unit rocks. (unstable)
- Rotating mobile is cute - but adds to the noise. Drowning out the music. Could be better with lights or a mirror.

I had really high hopes for this swing. But in the end I returned it and am seeking a replacement. Fisher-price may be off the list.

Baby swing
My Grandson is a stocky toddler, therefore, I was looking for
a swing that would be safe for him. I chose the fisher price

uneven ropes are adjustable at the back
So far so good. Our baby loves to swing, and this seems to fit the bill. The ropes were uneven out of the box, but they adjust by sliding through at the back of the seat. The front ropes aren't adjustable but they are even. Swings well. Will update this if we encounter any problems, but this seems to be just what the baby ordered.
