I HATE this stroller!!!
We have owned this stroller for almost 2 years now, and my feelings on it have shifted from "it's not great, but it'll work" to "Oh, no. I have to use THAT stroller again!". I hate it. It drives like a stretch limo with rear wheel drive, it is a pain to fold, the front seat is uncomfortable and doesn't recline much, nor does it support a toddler's head when napping. The snack tray falls off every time I try to fold it, and the foot rest falls off about half the time. The canopies are a pain to deal with when trying to fold the stroller, and the front canopy is not really big enough to provide much shade. It also can fold completely back so that the child in front can push it all the way back and hit the child sitting in back in the face. The rear canopy is good, though. The basket is almost impossible to access, and if the child in the second row is over 2 1/2, his or her feet will kick anything in the basket anyway. Also, the rear seat is a pain to install and remove. The actual buttons and snaps are pretty simple, but trying to get the restraints removed from the stroller frame so the the seat can be removed is really annoying. It was OK (and just OK) when using with an infant (in a carrier) and a small toddler, but I finally bought a new stroller shortly after my son outgrew his carrier. This one is just too annoying to use very often. Also, now that I have a third baby, the button holes that are supposed to hold the rear seat in place have stretched and torn enough that the second seat will not stay in place and slides forward constantly. It is such a pain. I strongly do NOT recommend this stroller!
item is better for infant and toddler
i bought this item for my one and two year old and it is a ok stroller however the front seat is not very comfortable for a toddler. when i had my friends baby in front in the carseat the ride was fine
A better choice than the Sit N Stand single stroller
I have four kids, all of them closely spaced, so we've actually tried a few double strollers and this is by far the best. We did originally purchase the single "Sit N' Stand" stroller by Baby Trend, but we were really disappointed in it and returned it for this one. We'd originally thought that the extra seat on the single stroller (it does have one) would substitute for the second seat on this one, but it doesn't. It's just a platform--it has a strap but no back so it would be very uncomfortable for extended periods of time. The second seat on this stroller is a regular seat with a back on it, and it can be removed later as your kids grow. I also liked the way the infant seat clips onto this stroller. On the single version, you can only put it in the front seat, which really doesn't work for me because I want to have my infant at arm's reach all the time. On the double version you can clip the infant seat onto either seat location, your choice. Also having the second canopy is a plus on hot or rainy days.

Other great qualities--this stroller is really easy to maneuver (the first one I owned was terrible, which is why I got rid of it). I love the big cargo bag underneath and don't underestimate the usefulness of having cupholders for parents ... I can't tell you how many times I've been at an event and have had to balance cups on the top of the stroller.

Overall I'm really pleased with this stroller, if it had been the first one I bought after the birth of my second child I'd never have had the need to buy another one.
GREAT STROLLER!!
Hi, I am a grandmother who likes to shop and I had the opportunity to take care of my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter for a week in December one year while my daughter & the older children went snow skiing. I needed a stroller so I went to a few stores and was very surprised how much strollers cost, I decided to go to a children's consignment shop where they only had a double stroller at that time. I bought the double stroller which worked out great for Christmas shopping, but I learned from that experience what works and doesn't work, that is why I am writing this review.

My son & his new wife just had a new baby and his wife also has an 18 month old son, I ask them what they needed and she said that a double stroller would be nice.
I gave away my grandma stroller several years ago so now I needed to see what was new....so the best place to go is Amazon.com and do some research! From my previous shopping experiece with a double stroller I knew that the side by side stroller is NOT practical because they won't fit through doorways or aisles, now they have the sit n'stand double strollers which seem to be the way to go if you have a toddler and an infant.
So, after reading all the reviews and watching some of videos on the different sit n' stand strollers I went with this Baby Trend model and my son & daughter-in-law LOVE it!!!

Great double stroller
We bought this stroller in anticipation of our second child. Our first is 20 months old and our second is now four weeks old. We wanted a stroller that was able to accommodate the many growing phases of both our children, without buying several strollers. I love that we can put our Chicco infant seat in the front and our toddler can sit in the back. As our infant grows, they can both sit and then eventually, our toddler can stand or sit backwards. It is extremely sturdy and I think it is a great product for the cost. This is the only stroller we will need as these boys grow. Plus the colors are great. I highly recommend it.

Not compatible with Chicco car seats
This seems like a good stroller for twins and may work quite well with some infant seats but it did not seem safe with the Chicco Keyfit 30 seats I already had. The Chicco was listed as one of the compatible seats for this stroller but it just sat on top of the stroller -- the only thing holding the seat in place was a rather flimsy, adjustable belt. I was able to adjust the belt somewhat and got the seat not to move side to side but with nothing to snap into, it tilted up and down quite a bit. I think the idea is supposed to be that it's heavy enough with a baby in it not to move but it seemed to me if I accidentally hit the front of the stroller against something, the car seat could potentially lift up and that just didn't seem very safe. I can see how a seat with a notch in the bottom would be secure on the bar that's supplied with the stroller but since the Chicco is rounded on the bottom with no notch, I'm not sure why it's listed as a compatible seat. The stroller itself was very light and folded up very compactly and really seemed ideal to use until the babies no longer fit in their car seats, but it just didn't seem to be safe for use with my car seats.
Very practical, light, well worth the money
We have been going out with the twins for over 3 months now. First of all it is incredibelly easy to fold and unfold. Very light indeed especailly if you compare it to a stroller. The comfort of putting the babies in their car seats is great. To my surprise, it is very easy to manouver despite the lenght of it. I think any twin's parent would enjoy using it and the price is certainly right. I use it with Graco car seats which click right away.

There are two issues you should consider, however, before buying. The first is the lenght issue. It is long natuarally because it inhibits twins. But it stays long when folded as well. So if you have a sedan, this probably won't fit in the back. It barely fits a small size SUV, so be sure to check the folded length if you can. The second downside is the basket is almost inaccesible when you install both babies. It is big however, so if you can slip in the things you want to carry, it holds a lot.

I would recommend buying a mommy-hook to go with it since you need a place to hang your bag.
Baby Trend Customer Service is Unacceptable
I was given a double snap-n-go stroller as a baby gift from a relative. After two uses, the stroller broke and will no longer fold down. Not only was I stranded in a parking lot when the stroller broke, but I have been unable to use the stroller --- and thus, unable to leave the house with my newborn twins - for TEN WEEKS while I have gone back and forth with Baby Trend's customer service department.

The Baby Trend customer service department has had me disassemble the stroller three times ... take and email two pictures of the broken stroller ... I have had 3+ phone conversations with 4 different customer service reps ... I've waited a total of ten business days for two different boxes that were sent to me -- NEITHER of which was large enough for the stroller. All the while, I am a mother of four children under 4 years of age. They have been completely unreasonable in what they've asked me to do ... the latest request is to wrap the stroller in a black garbage bag to send it back to them ... something that FedEx highly discourages (and says there will likely be damage to the stroller).

I have literally missed out on many family experiences due to this broken stroller and Baby Trend's refusal to remedy this issue. We can not take out twins out of the house without a double stroller - and unfortunately, we made the mistake of getting a Baby Trend product.

Do not make the mistake of buying this product. The only thing worse than the quality of the product is the level of customer service you will get from Baby Trend.
may not be useful.....
I have read all the reviews and purchased it on 07/07/2010. It arrived on 07/09/2010. I have purchased new Graco Snugride 32 also on 07/08/2010. Just now I have assembled and modified the bars on the storller to fit for Graco. Great all looks wonderful. Here is the catch... after placing both the infant car seats on the stroller frame, I have noticied that front car seat rests on the rear car seat.
I purchased this stroller frame with a useful life of 9-12 months not 3-4 months.
This will reduce the useful/shelf live of less than 3 to 4 months. After 4 months, baby sitting in the rear seat will be hitting the front infant seat back. May have grearter chances of his feet get stuck in there also. I am wondering how other parents who rated this product are using even after 4 months. I am in delima to return or take chances to see what is the actual usage?

Woefully cheap parts
I thought this stroller would be great for my twin daughters. I figured it would be great to easily take them from car seat to stroller, when needed. I love the bucket style carriers, but this stroller base is a pain. The worst part so far has been the wheels. While building it, I had to call and replace a faulty one. Since using it, the wheels near the handle have gotten severely wobbly. I had to call after a few weeks of use to get them replaced as well. Basically, I've replaced 3 of the 4 wheels in a month of use (and before use). Also, when I fold it, the wheels swivel and make it impossible to lock at times. While folding and unfolding, the canvas straps get caught constantly, so it isn't quick and easy to fold and unfold. Pushing this bulky stroller is a major chore. Beyond the difficulty in turning such a long stroller (which comes with the twin territory), it's heavy and the wheels seem overly taxed. My jogging stroller is a thousand times easier to push. I wish there were another, possibly more expensive but better built double carrier snapping stroller on the market, and I'd buy it in a second.

Great stroller, great value for money
Easy to fold, very maneuverable and light to push. Wears well and is comfortable enough that the kids falls asleep in it when tired.
We haven't found this useful.
We have had our City Mini double stroller for 14 months now and love it. A friend with 2-year-old twins mentioned that her boys love pulling themselves up on the belly bar, so I decided to splurge and order it. I find the bar a little bit of a bother to put in and take out (might just be the learning curve since I've only used it a few times), and it seems kind of pointless. My boys occasionally pull themselves up on it but with the design of the seats, they are always reclined a bit at the most upright setting so that's a little difficult/uncomfortable for them. Maybe they will find it more useful when they're a little taller. (They are 32" and 33", respectively, now at 18 months.) I wish Baby Jogger would redesign the stroller to sit fully upright at the least reclined setting; then I think the belly bar (and snack trays, if you buy them) would be easier to use.
great item
I have 15 month old twins, with the belly bar on, I adjusted the straps to just go across their thighs and between the crotch. they lean forward and hold the belly bar on walks. They love it, they seem to feel less restricted than being all strapped down. Of course I watch that they don't try to climb out but they are pretty content. I like the fact that it adjusts too, and it seems pretty sturdy.
Happy with this purchase
This belly bar is very sturdy and good quality. It fits well on the stroller but has to be set pretty low so that it's not too high for comfort.
very good bely bar
the bely bar is very comfortable. has many positions. my babies hold it while sitting in the stroller.

Nice!
This is a nice trailer! Only real complaint would be... my 2 year old with his helmet on comes right to the height limit! so don't know how long we'll be able to use it... this was pretty disapointing! He (2 year old) loves riding in it!! plenty of storage so you can bike to the store and pick up a few items. Easily turns into a jogging stroller, although it does feel kind of goofy using it that way because the handle is up so high.. otherwise great purchase!
Great trailer (especially for the price)!
Great bike trailer, especially for the price. The directions were not all that great but everything was still pretty easy to assemble. The brakes were the most time consuming but still everything went together smoothly. When we use this as a stroller, the unit definitely pulls to the left so that is a little annoying but it is manageable.
Nice trailer - but the directions for assembly suck
Really nice product for the price. But, the directions were terrible. Drove my hubby (physics degree and "can fix anything") completely nuts. He got it together without a problem but a "normal" person would have probably thrown this thing through a wall!
its ok a little smaller than what i was hoping for
just got this trailer for my bike it is small my 2year old and 3year old fit in it snug and my 3 year olds head is alittle past the do not go over line for there heads. dont know how it would hold kids up to 100 pounds when mine together are only around 60lb and average height. thats the only negative about it other wise i have used it once and it is easy to pull and the kids loved it.

busy mom
My daughter loves the stroller, however, I'm disappointed that it didn't come with the car seat carrier. Under product features, it says," Deluxe doll stroller is just like the real thing has doll car seat carrier system and snack tray." I took this statement to mean that the doll hand carrier was included. It does show it in the images section.
Not For Toddlers
We received this stroller as a gift from Grandma who always goes over the top. But my daughter is just past 2 years and is very frustrated by the various seat belts. She calls out for help every fifteen seconds which makes me HATE this stroller. Also, the handle is quite high (a plus for most of the reviewers but in our case a real problem) and for that reason it's very hard to push. Just know your audience; it's very well made, and it's clear that all of their money went into its construction. I love the fact that there are three places for the dolls or toys to be part of the action and the basket is good sized as well. Since she's already seen it, and wants it, we have decided to buy a smaller and very light weight stroller for her that is more geared to a 34" child, and she can grow into this one.
Best sroller for 4 year old
I purchased this stroller after my 4 year old fell in love with a similar one at Pottery barn (for three times the price). We were looking for a larger size than the other doll strollers because my daughter is tall for her age and always ends up bent over to push her strollers. This one is perfect, my 7 year old can even push it with out bending down. It is so sturdy and well made with realistic buckles, seats and easy to steer wheels. It is now holding 5 dolls strapped in various positions, the girls have not left it alone since it arrived. I have purchased 6 doll strollers between my two youngest daughters and this one is by far the best value, I think it will be my final stroller purchase unless I have to buy a second one for her sister.
My niece loved it!!!
Honestly I had a lot of fun shopping for my niece this Christmas. If they had products like this when I was a little girl I would've been in 7th heaven! It arrived quickly, was easy to put together and I love the size. My niece is very tall for a 4 yr old but she'll have years to play with it. It really seems like a smaller version of a real stroller. I love that they had the option of a color other than pink, as most doll strollers (most girl's toys period) come in pink. (And I for one am a little tired of the pink brainwashing). My brother purchased the Joovy booster seat in blue dot as well. My niece said "This is just what I wanted for Christmas. I didn't have anything for my babies." That made my day!

One drawback - the canopy has a small snag in it. I'm still waiting for a replacement. Other than that, it's a great toy and I think it'll last quite a while.
A Big Hit!
Purchased this as a last minute gift after I found out my 10-year-old "held back" in telling Santa she would like a new stroller for her dolls. This replaces a toy umbrella stroller she has had for years, and now required her to crouch over in oder to stroll it. It seems very much like a true baby stroller (just smaller) - she absolutely loves it and will not let it out of her sight. Very funny - she actually put a handful of cheerios in front of her doll on the food tray! And it was easy to put together (10 minutes). Can't thank Joovy/Amazon enough - ordered it Sunday night before Christmas not expecting it until after Christmas (in fact was warned at checkout that it would not arrive in time) - much to my pleasant surprise, it arrived Christmas Eve. Thanks!

Vancouver - beyond the Olympics coverage

I recovered eat quickly.

Vancouver has more than its share of lively, artsy, bohemian neighborhoods full of great restaurants and clubs side-by-side with diurnal working Canadian culture. But when hundreds of millions of people tune in to watch the 2010 Winter Olympics here and in Whistler in February, these ambrosial enclaves will all but vanish for a few weeks.

Alas, television sports broadcasters are swell, but Arthur Frommer they are not.

(Olympics coverage tends to sputter down hosting cities to a stadium and a cliched icon or two, like reducing San Francisco to Fisherman's Wharf, AT&T Estate and cable cars, or reducing Baltimore to Camden Yards and, um, whatever else there is in Baltimore.)

I flew to Vancouver to verify there's more here than the yachting trip terminal, killer whales and the statue of "Gassy Jack," and to seek out those friendly, walkable neighborhoods and attractions beyond the sightseer magnets - but that you probably won't see when the cameras start rolling.
