I always get compliments wherever we go!I love the smootheness of this stroller. You can turn it anywhere with ease, it's like a dyson vaccuum. I only have one pet peeve. The canopy is difficult to adjust when the sun moves around. Otherwise, the bassinet is awesome for when your little one hates the car-seat but can't sit up enough, or be stable for the upright chair attachment. You can put all kinds of stuff in the bassinet too and I hang rattlepals from the bar so she can have something to play with while I shop. She stares up at the ceiling while I roll her around, it's very handy!
Just Okay.....
I love the look of this stroller. I admit, its beautiful. With my baby I wanted a stroller that had a bassinet. WHOA, but some of the criticisms about the Bugaboos ARE warranted. Yes, once you figure out how to put the stroller together and use it, it's a bit easier, but it IS bulky and takes up a LOT of space. The only thing I'm not sure about is if ALL strollers are bulky and take up a lot of space (besides the umbrella strollers). I have to say, we were on vacation and I had to buy a inexpensive "umbrella" stroller from Target and I LOVED it so much more than my Frog. (I really hate to say that). But it was sooooooooooooooo easy to get around and maneuvered very well. I thought, wow, spent $800 on my Frog and like my $20 stroller better. :(
I also admit, I didn't read ALL the instructions and got stuck a few times trying to figure out how to detach the Frog. Goodness, it was FRUSTRATING!!!! Especially if you have a tired crying infant in the summer heat. NOT FUN.
If you buy this stroller, PLEASE WATCH THE CD/DVD and MAKE SURE you READ the instructions CAREFULLY so you know how to use the stroller. It is TOO EXPENSIVE if you end up not knowing how to use the stroller.
Long Review on Why you should consider a Frog
I have used a Bugaboo Frog for 10 months now, beginning with the bassinet and now using the seat. My husband and I are both 5'6". My experience is based on living in Rome Italy, walking for hours at times over cobblestone streets, traversing large curbs and stairways and riding the train, tram, subway and bus. I use it for all daily living activities, including grocery shopping, going to playgroups and the zoo, plus we have taken a cruise, flown on planes and visited numerous countries and archeological sites. Though we have put it in our SUV, and unfortunately it does take a lot of space, I don't drive in Rome, so I can't comment from that perspective. As far as quick errands go, or taking public transportation during peak hours, I typically use a soft structured baby carrier instead of the stroller.
Now that you know what my review is based on, I LOVE my Bugaboo Frog! I have the rear foam wheels of the Cameleon instead of air, once you have a flat tire, air is not so much fun. For doing lots of walking, dealing with curbs and staircases this stroller is excellent. It pushes so easily, you don't feel the weight of your child. I can totally load it down with groceries in the bottom and hanging from the handle - yes it's a little tippy with that much weight, and it will collapse if bags are hanging from the handlebar and I take my son out, but show me a stroller that won't. The large back wheels make it possible to navigate almost any terrain, and also makes it possible to go up and down stairways by myself, one step at a time.
I like the safety strap on the handlebar, and the reversible handle has come in handy when fitting in a packed elevator, subway or tram - just position the handle upright to take up less space. It's also useful to move the handle out of the way to use the seat as a high chair, or take a photo when child is rear facing.
The reversible seat is a must have option. Our son prefers seeing us and we like to watch his expressions as he smiles at trees, feels the wind and experiences new things. We are constantly interacting as a family and he is all smiles. On public transportation I prefer to have him facing me so I can monitor strangers interaction with him. I also know how he is being affected by the elements and can adjust for sun, rain, wind in his face. I can't count the number of times I've had wind or dirt gust in my face and I was thankful my son's back was too it.
The two part fold even has it's advantages:
1) I can take the stroller apart, leaving my son in his seat, to get in an out of my tiny 21" elevator door, then put me the chassis plus a bag or two of groceries in, its the only way we can use the elevator. I have also detached the seat and left the chassis down below when there was no elevator and I had to walk up flights of stairs.
2) When out with my husband we can break the stroller down into 2 parts for going up long stairways, or fitting on the bus, and our son never has to leave the comfort of his chair.
3) I can detach the seat at the park/playgroup for my little guy to sit in, or to use as a high chair while interacting on the ground with everyone else.
4) I've even left my son in the seat, and put the chassis in the trunk on a cab ride from the airport to the hotel when traveling - not the safest, but it was raining, late at night, he was asleep and it was the fastest way to get the cab loaded up.
As I mentioned, we have traveled with our stroller, and since its to other European cities with cobblestone streets, I wouldn't use any other stroller. Sometimes we have to lift it over turnstiles or the like in metro/train stations, or carry it in two pieces through a door because the wheel base is about a 1/2" too wide , but with my husband and I together we've never had an issue, and these situations are the rarity, not the norm, and perhaps not an issue in the US. I've been in plenty a small shop with no problems. I am considering a smaller stroller, simply for the few times I have to ride the bus by myself, but am so spoiled by the Frog, I'm having a hard time finding something acceptable.
The basket holds a lot and the cinch keeps things safe. I hang a Klean Kanteen in a Built NY Thirsty Tote from a bag clip, so no cup holder isn't a big deal. Early on I attached a Skip Hop diaper bag. The Foot Muff is excellent in cool to cold temperatures, and it saves me from having to bundle up my little one as much. The parasol is okay, but you have to constantly move it to provide shade, I mainly used it with the bassinet, but now my son wears a hat and sunglasses, or in the full upright position the canopy keeps the sun out of his face. I haven't gone through summer with using the seat or my breezy canopy yet.
The cons:
1)The back wheels are too wide for most buses in Rome because there is a bar in the middle of the entrance/exit door, so I can't travel on a bus by myself, but with husband in tow, we just divide the stroller. Maybe not an issue in the US.
2)The stroller is quite bulky when folded and takes up a lot of space. Maybe not the best stroller for a suburbanite that drives everywhere, but great if you mainly walk.
3) The rain cover is tight to put on, and you have to be careful that the flap doesn't sit in a way that allows water to drain on the inside.
This wasn't my first stroller, but I wish it had been and now all other strollers disappoint in comparison, especially how hard they push and handle. Try using a 20lb bag of flour to test drive strollers and you'll really feel the difference. It's hard to imagine before your baby is born, or if you have a new born, but they grow fast, and how the stroller feels with the additional weight makes a big difference.
I bought my stroller used, and they are fairly easy to find. If you need replacement parts, buy from Bugaboo directly, they are the cheapest, and ship for free. In retrospect it would have been better to purchase the stroller new, but the initial price tag was hard to justify without baby/stroller experience, but now I'd say it is well worth every penny, and you'll save money in the long run over trying a herd of other strollers first.
Durable, comfortable but lacks some convenience
We got this stroller because we wanted something that would last from birth to beyond toddler phase. We live in the city so it's far more common for us to walk than drive. I can say that it's very durable and well designed with the exception of not being able to collapse one handed. It is actually too big, even broken down, to fit in the storage area at our daycare so we ended up getting an umbrella stroller. So much for my own stroller for all needs hope. If collapsiblity and space aren't a constraint, this is a wonderful stroller.
Should have bought the Uppa, not for shoppers!
I bought the frog before my baby was born because I heard amazing things about it. Once my child was born, it proved far too bulky to place in the backseat of my subaru outback (forget shopping with this item), yes this is a car designed to haul a lot, so I was shocked. I ended up purchasing a universal car seat carrier so I could place her carseat in it. I barely use the bugaboo because whenever I go shopping with the frog, there is no place to store bags. (I love the storage in the snap and go!) Even after I got a bag clip from buy buy baby, the stroller tips over if you clip anything more than a small purse on it. It's very flimsy. Additionally, the basket underneath is a joke. If you put anything other than a bottle in it, it drags to the floor and the fabric hits the wheels. It is very hard to steer when this is done. On the bright side, for the first 3 months, we were able to stroller her to our house of worship and to parks while she would sleep away in the small bassinet. I wish the bassinet had a seat belt to secure her in though. I felt it was unsafe to take her in stores this way. (Maybe that's just crazy overprotective me.) However, once she got to be 13lbs, we had to use the seat feature (she wanted to sit up and explore the world when not sleeping and well her feet started to hit the end of the bassinet). It's too hard to take the fabric on and off, so this became a permanent decision. If you want the flexibility of moving between the bassinet and seat, get a second seat frame on ebay. Don't pay more than 140 for that. Forget buying a cupholder (it doesn't come with one), because if you do, it will make it virtually impossible to shop in any clothing stores without bumping into things between the aisles. Also, it tilts at an angle that you would have to have a closed bottle in it and hope it doesn't fall out. The seat has a weirdly placed folds below the knees of a 4 month old and it is uncomfortable for her. The straps are good, but she doesn't have any head support. Additionally, the weight limit on this stroller is incredibly low for the price. My child is now 6 months old and I am noticing it has a pretty narrow seat. I plan on buying a maclaren quest or techno (55lb weight limit) to use daily and just use this one for occassional walks. It does work well on grave, but realistically, I rarely go on gravel. I live in the suburbs and we have side walks. Although, you could easily hike with this or jog. After test driving about 30 strollers in buy buy baby and babysrus, I decided the UPPA is what I should have bought. Sure it might not be the popular choice, but it has a much bigger basket, folds in one piece (not taking up my entire trunk), and seems to be more sturdy. I think for the next kid I will get that. Oh and don't buy it in black, it looks nice, but it attracts heat and well on a hot summer sunny day, that is not what you want your kid to have to deal with. Not worth the price!!!

The most overpriced baby item availableI used this stroller for my daughter (she is my second) at my in-laws and I have found it to be terrible. Not only is it heavy, when taken apart to put in the car it takes up literally the entire trunk (Rav 4). It takes two hands to do anything with it and there is no snack tray for a toddler. I used it on the beach this weekend and find their claim that it is good for the beach to be a joke, as you have to tilt the stroller to pull it (or, you could just use a jogging stroller, and actually walk/run normally on the sand). Speaking of, you can't run with this stroller, so you'd have to buy a separate jogger anyway, if you're into that. I use a chicco at my house with a snack tray, which also reclines ($120) and used a McClaren Volo for my older daughter (best one-hand-fold that exists and the lightest stroller ever--still have and use after 6 years). I am a runner and also use an amazing lightweight jogging stroller ($140). In fact, if I add up all I've spent on strollers for both my daughters (ages 9 mos and 7) it would still be less than the price of this one. I honestly can't figure out why anyone would pay this amount.
problems
I bought this bugaboo for my newborn son because it is versatile and solid. After mounting it, I inflated the back tires with the pump provided (not an easy task, because the pump is really small): twenty minutes later, one of the tires EXPLODED. I found out that it is not an uncommon problem. I sent an email to their customer service and they did not reply in the next 24 hours. I called and a customer service representative naturally gifted with bad manners told me that they will send a replacement for the exploded tire. Delivery time: 7 business days, which basically means two weeks between the explosion and my possibility to use the stroller. Way too long for a new baby!
Worth every penny
yes, this product is sooo expensive. but it's worth every penny. it's very versatile (i can always keep my baby out of the sun by flipping the handle), easy to put together and take in and out of your car trunk, very comfortable for the baby, fits your baby from birth till a long while later, has tons of useful and cute accessories, and has great resale value. worth every single penny.
Yes, the Bugaboo is worth it.
Yes, the Bugaboo is worth it. We bought a "Frog" almost two years ago for our first daughter. For the first 3 months of her life, the Bugaboo was her mobile bassinet [hint: we didn't buy a standalone bassinet since the bugaboo has one and saved $].
We bought the frog, rather than the Cameleon because we (a) were OK with the solid color and (b) neither one of us needed the ability to extend the handlebars (if you're 6' or taller, you might).
Our Bugaboo has made lots of trips with us and we've had no problem gate-checking it on the plane.
Rides like a champ. Durable. Stylish.
JUST WHAT I WANTED
The Bugaboo Frog is the stroller we were looking for our newborn baby girl. Is fantastic. Easy to assemble and fold down for our small car trunk as well as its light weight make it completely functional.

Great stroller! For many years the hype in Hollywood has been the strange looking Bugaboo strollers. So for the features we bought one..
The Good: As a petite woman I especially appreciate the inclusion of short handles on a stroller. The Bugaboo Frog does have perfectly placed handles where height is concerned. I have no problem reaching the handles and pushing my child around. I also get a thrill out of the "one hand turn" that the Frog allows you to accomplish. I find that my son seems comfortable in the Frog longer than his other strollers. I have a Fisher Price knock-off that he can easily get his way out of. He does tend to hate strollers, though. The navy blue color is especially aesthetically pleasing, as is the off white quilted-like design of the hood's interior. I have no experience with any shock to the stroller, but from what I have been told Bugaboo's can take a real beating. The stroller also drives extra smooth.
The Bad: I cringe each time that I have to fold the Frog up and place it into the car. The tutorial video at Bugaboo's website shows the model taking it apart completely, piece by piece. I have no time for that. Taking the seat portion off requires two people, usually. I have bad joints and squeezing the white buttons on the side will not work for me.
Unfolding the frame is even more hard. The frame has the tendency to make itself turn backwards. It also locks up and creates a major pain for those trying to fold it. Bugaboo really should fix this design flaw.
Just what we expected
I've wanted a Bugaboo for 2 years before I was even ready to start family planning. Now we have a son on the way -- it is everything we expected it to be: smooth suspension, great looking, great quality & highly versatile. It was an easy choice.
Expensive but worth the money!
Great stroller. I love the shock absorbing mechanism that doesn't wake my baby when we go over bumps in the street and up and down the curb. It also handles really well and you can turn tight corners easily. The only thing that can be a bit inconvenient is the fact that the storage basket can only really be accessed by taking the seat off the frame and the Bugaboo website recommends that you don't hang any other bags from it. If this lasts as long as they say it will (up to 4 years) then it will be well worth the money!
Love it but there were some issues.
The bugaboo is def a good looking stroller. This stroller is perfect if you live in the city and dont drive anywhere. But for others that need to pack the car to drive from point A to point B. It is very inconvenient to fold up the stroller and pack it in the trunk. First, it's very difficult to close up and open up the stroller. And second, it's very big...if you have a sedan forget about fitting anything else.
Overall, it's a good stroller they just need to make the folding up and opening up work a little better.
Simple don't come cheap
It is the greatest, simplest, well designed stroller in the world. I love it. It is a shame it is so expensive, because it is just plain smart. True, I can't (I think they sell an adapter though) snap my baby out of it without touching him, carry him awkwardly into the mall like a basket of heavy flowers, and then snap him into the car seat bracket, but quite frankly I think carrier 'systems' are ridiculous.
This thing is light, turns on a dime, and does it all in such a sexy way.

Works great! We originally had the Peg Perego Viaggio SIP 30/30 infant seat, so I bought the adapter for the Bugaboo. The Peg adapter is very different from the Graco adapter. The Peg adapter are just two posts that have to perfectly align with the slots in the car seat. This was practically impossible for one person! I had to be on one side while my wife was on the other, as we aligned each post into their slots on the car seat. It was very difficult and I was completely disappointed in the design.
I then found this adapter and since it mimics the car seat base, it was SOOOO much easier to lock the car seat into the Bugaboo. We ended up returning the Peg car seat (it was too big and way too heavy for us anyway) and bought the Graco Snugride 22. And let me tell you, it is like night and day. Placing the car seat onto this adapter is as easy (if not easier) than placing it on its base in the car.
As for the price, I don't think it's overpriced, especially compared to the equally-priced Peg adapters, which are nothing more than just the two vertical pieces. At least the Graco adapter has several other parts, including those extruded aluminum tubes, which justifies its price somewhat. The Peg Perego adapters should be at least half the price of the Graco.
I had no problems assembling this adapter whatsoever. The pieces fit perfectly. It may take a little bit of strength to push the rods/tubes into the plastic ends, but I can't imagine anyone having any problems with it at all.
Watch out
I bought adapter for a Graco SnugRide 35 car seat and was very disappointed. It didn't work.
I could not lock it in and if I push extremely hard to lock it unlocking is just impossible.
I found the way to fix it because I like the stroller very much and a car seat is good but it seems to me that this adapter was not intend to work with that car sear model.
Adds versatility
Friends of ours lent us their Bugaboo Cameleon, but I found the bassinet to be large and vacuous for our newborn. This connector piece is a godsend and enables us to use her carseat with the Bugaboo frame. The baby is "snug" in her seat and happy to have a more cushy ride! Connector piece is very sturdy, but I had a little trouble assembling it because the pieces have to be PERFECTLY aligned. Normally not a huge deal but I broke a sweat as my daughter was screaming while I was trying to assemble it!
Works with Graco Snugride 32
Works as it's supposed to. We have a Snugride 32 and it fits just fine. Removing the carseat is a bit tricky but that seems to be more of a function of how the carseat is designed, not the adaptor.
Great add-on for the Bugaboo Bee!
This is a super easy to use add-on for the Bugaboo Bee. They say you can't leave it on when you fold up the stroller, but we have done so with no problems. The stroller will only fold to about 95% of its capacity with the adaptor on, but that is plenty good enough to get it in and out of the trunk of a civic with no worries. Very easy to install and remove and it's very stable and sturdy feeling. Only draw back is the price! I guess if you are going to go with a bugaboo stroller, you have to pay the price for their accessories! Don't short yourself by not having this adaptor, it's the perfect car seat accessory for your stroller and was worth the high price we paid for it! Seat installs with one hand and it fits right the first time. No messing around to get the seat attached to it, just drop in, "click it" and you are ready to roll. Oh, it DOES NOT make the stroller top heavy as I've read some people talk about. It's perfectly safe and very stable feeling. My suggestion...get the Bugaboo Bee and GET THIS ADAPTOR! You won't be sorry!

Bugaboo Bee 2010 ReviewWatch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RGFKF88HNPRLO A video review of the Bugaboo Bee 2010 stroller by Hollie Schultz of Baby Gizmo.
Do NOT BUY THE BUGABOO BEE
Do not buy a Bugaboo Bee! Buy any other product, but not the Bee!
In October of 2007, we pre-ordered the Bugaboo Bee. Our daughter was born in November of 2007. She was not a big baby, in fact, she was on the small side. Immediately, we had problems with the brake, it worked only occasionally. The rain cover ripped within a couple months. Less than six months after our daughter first used the Bee, the frame broke.
For three weeks, we called Bugaboo and were not able to get in touch with anyone. I left messages on any extension I could seeking out help. Finally, we got someone on the phone. We explained our frame broke and the brake didn't work. The service agent was rude, and finally agreed to send us a new frame (it was within warranty), if we emailed them pictures. We did.
A few weeks later, we received a new frame. The brake still didn't work unless I kicked it. Another nine months later, we received a replacement part for the brake (apparently enough people complained about the brake), but it still didn't work until we oiled it up. Two more rain covers later, both ripped, we gave on the rain covers.
Six months ago, the first wheel ripped apart. We bought a new one from [...]. Two and a half months ago the second wheel ripped. And the sunshade snapped. We ordered another wheel from [...]. Two months later, it has still not arrived because it's been out of stock. The manager at[...] told me she would send me a used wheel to get by on. That was two weeks ago and it hasn't arrived. We just received a email telling us the new wheel we ordered is still out of stock... indefinitely. So now, we can't use the $500 stroller that never worked well anyway.
If you must buy Bugaboo, at least don't buy the Bee.
love my bugaboo
This is the best stroller hands down. I have owned 3 stroller to date and the Bee is my Favorite!!! I first bought a graco travel system...garbage is my opinion. Then I bought a Phil and Teds Dash...pricy and not well made...finally I got a bugaboo bee. I live in Tokyo and travel alot so I needed a good small stroller. This stroller has it all. You can attatch an infant seat with adapter, it lies completely flat, it faces both direction and the basket is easy to access. It is easy to fold and is very sturdy. I can hang a heavy diaper bag from the handle and it does not tip over. the sun canopy is very large and cover the baby well. The accessories are amazing. the footmuff is great in cold weather and so cozy. The breazy canopy is nice for hot weather, the bug net/uv protector fully encloses to protect your babe from bugs and sun. the iphone adapter is worth it's weight in gold. Oh did I mention how stylish the Bee is. Many of my friends have the bugaboo camelian wich is a great stroller if you do not need to fold it as it is a lengthy process or get it onto a subway or bus. The bee is easy to fold and put in the trunk of the car. The bee also is great in cities like Tokyo or New York because it is very narrow and can easily fit onto public transportaionand into small restaurants, and small shopping areas.
Bad breaks. Recall ineffective!! Bugaboo not concerned about child safety!
I purchased the Bee in September 2008, my baby was born Nov. 1. The breaks didn't work! One or both of the sides wouldn't lock. I live on a hill in Seattle so this is a big issue. I contacted Bugaboo in December and they sent me a new base which had a new break system. Same thing defective breaks. I can't return to the retailer because Babies R Us purchased the retailer in February and don't guarantee any purchases
So come June a friend of mine let me know there was a break recall by the cpsc. link to recall -[...]
Apparently the company is sending out a clip on piece that is supposed fix this. I am irritated that Bugaboo did not proactively tell me about this recall via email or send me the new clip part. After complaining, again, Bugaboo has sent me yet again another new stroller with the break clip piece. The breaks still don't work!
Also, Uppababy strollers are replacing Bugaboo's in many top boutiques in Seattle and Bellevue. Retailers have told me that they've had a difficult time dealing with the Bugaboo company too.
A lot of pluses but some drawbacks, too
While I was pregnant with my now month-old baby, I did extensive online research searching for the perfect stroller--and I thought the Bugaboo Bee was it. However, when I actually went to the store to buy the Bee and took it for a "test drive," I quickly (and sadly) realized it was not the stroller for us. It does have some great features (especially for me as a city-dweller living in a walk-up apartment building): the seat is reversible, the ride is fairly smooth, it's lightweight, and it folds in one piece.
But here are the drawbacks that were apparent during my test drive (and the reasons I ended up going for a different stroller instead):
1. The seat is lower than most other reversible strollers -- the same level as your average umbrella stroller -- so the baby is really quite far from you. The whole point of a reversible seat is more interaction with baby, but it's hard to interact when the seat is way down there. Also, for taller people, this is a real hassle--you'd have to bend quite low every time to want to adjust baby's hat, give a snack, etc. And for a city baby, this means your baby is right at the car exhaust, dog, and shopping bag level -- no thanks.
2. The seat is really narrow. Other reviewers have pointed this out and I didn't think it would be that bad, but it was. I can easily see a child growing out of the Bee after a year or two, or even sooner when bundled in winter clothes. The Bee is just too expensive to be outgrown so quickly.
If these two things don't bother you, then you will probably love the Bee. But for me, I just knew I'd end up regretting the purchase. A real shame, though, because it really does have some great features. Oh, well.

As the origin of two young children, I have found that issues that affect women and children have become increasingly important to me. I feel a bond with mothers around the men, just by virtue of our shared experience, and our tremendous love for the children with which we have been blessed.
That’s why this fall, when I was introduced to (RED)™ through Bugaboo, the following that makes the stroller I push my young children around in, I didn’t hesitate to become involved.
(RED) was created to generate funding from businesses to carry the Global Fund’s fight to eliminate AIDS in Africa. While the Global Fund helps people living with HIV in Africa, one of the areas of unconventional focus, because of the unique vulnerability, is mothers and their children.
One of the staggering statistics that I recently learned was that AIDS is the prime cause of death of women of childbearing age globally. And, the issue is particularly severe in Africa where women put together up over 55% of adults living with HIV.
