A bit tooooo warm for the summerI really like this wrap. My son is happy in it, but in the summer it's a bitch! I don't know about other women, but having sweat streaming down my face and back and front is not my idea of fun or comfortable! Seriously, all that fabric wrapped around me and the babay...way too much bulk and body heat. My son got a heat rash from being in it.
I'd opt for either a sling for young babies, or a front pack or ergo for older babies in the summer months. It was awesome when he was a newborn in the winter months, but at 5 months in anything above 85 I'd prefer something more breathable.
~It's easy to set up. If I'm taking the car somewhere I wrap myself up at home so I can just load the boy in at the store/park, etc.
~It's comfortable for baby; mine at least. From newborn up to 5 months now (15+ lbs) he hasn't complained!
~Comfortable for me; minus the sweating. I have a front pack, but it makes my back ache. Not with the Moby. My back is pain free.
~More freedom for baby. My boy really likes using his arms and they're more restricted in front packs than with the Moby.
~Hides baby fat. I like that.
This was not for us.
A friend suggested we purchase this. She had one and loved it, but it was not for me. I spent an hour attempting to figure out how to put the stupid thing on before I just gave up. It is crazy long. I'm petite, (5'2 and 110 pounds). I could wrap the "extra" around my waist 3 times. I did eventually sort of get the wrap on only to discover my baby hated it. He kicked and wiggled the entire time. I ended up ordering a Bjorn, which I love. If you are short, I would think twice about getting this.
awesome wrap
I love the wrap & bag & booklet that comes with it. I would have rated it 5 *'s but in the Florida heat the knit fabric is just a bit too hot.
I felt like I was caught in a fabric store nightmare
I have read a many wonderful reviews of this products -- met many women (don't know any men who use them) who love it. But I found the whole thing horrible. I just felt lost in the endless yards of fabric...I kept wrapping and wrapping and wrapping. It was like living in a cocoon without the turning into a butterfly at the end -- hot, bulky, too time consuming to get on. I'm 5'6", but very thin by American standards, so perhaps this is my problem??? Though the models in the pictures look pretty thin and seem to be having no problem. I found the Bjorn much better, a sling even better and finally an ERGO a dream machine. Sadly I didn't find the ERGO until my daughter was 20 months, and then at 24 months I got pregnant again and was worried about strapping anything to my belly. Anyway, hope this works better for you. I'm going to try the Moby out again with this baby because I want to believe it can work for me too...that being said, wish I had never wasted money on this. Buy an ERGO. I know people who can still carry their 4 year olds around in it. You need an additional insert for newborns with the ERGO, so I'll use the Moby and Bjorn and sling until the baby can switch to the ERGO.
comfortable with minimal practice
I had a lot of trouble getting my infant son comfortably into a typical carrier. Now with my infant daughter, I decided to try the Moby. It took a few tries to learn how to manipulate the long piece of fabric, but once I became comfortable so did my daughter. My Moby allows me to get things done around the house and easily carry her around outside of the home while keeping my snugglebug happy.

A mother's must-have!I absolutely love my Moby wrap! It's easy to learn how to tie it and for a "hold me" kinda baby like my son it's a must have. I use mine around the house, at the beach, or just to go for a walk with the dog. My son just snuggled down into it like he's home again. The way the cloth covers you entire back distributes the weight evenly so your neck and shoulders don't get sore. It's light weight cloth so it keeps the baby cooler than most baby carriers would on a hot day, but being in direct contact with you keeps your baby warm on a colder day. I also love that in just one carrier there are so many different ways to use it. It's also machine washable!
I wouldn't go anywhere with out my Moby.
a must have!
The wrap is very comfortable and I have no back pain at all when I use it and I have back problems! Once you get the hang of wrapping it, it's easy to do. I have only used it one way so far because my son is still a newborn but he loves to be in it and usually falls asleep. I use it when I go to the store or go out, it's so much better than carrying a giant car seat or stroller with the car seat on it. I was a little worried about buying it because it's basically a giant piece of stretchy cloth! But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and am so happy I decided to purchase it. I highly recommend it!
Better than the other carriers!
I have used other carriers and after a while they hurt your back, this one feels really natural and baby loves to be held in it.
I love baby wearing!
I love my Moby Wrap! I bought it when my daughter was 2 months old. She was always fussy during supper time so I simply put her in the wrap and she would sleep the whole time I was making supper for my family. I also use this wrap when I'm shopping since my carseat does not fit properly in the shopping carts. This wrap keeps curious strangers from touching my baby as she is all covered up! This wrap is comfortable to wear, it does take a couple of times practicing to figure out how to use it, but distributes weight evenly! I also like all the different positions to choose from.
Thinking About a Moby Wrap? A Few Things To Consider
I bought my first Moby Wrap when my second son hit 3 weeks and I suspected he had colic. He only seemed happy when I held him, much like many other infants. I've used a Snugli, Ultimate Baby Wrap (too stretchy to feel secure), and an Infantino sling, but I had seen a baby in a Moby once before, and it had looked so comfortable for mom and baby that I knew I wanted to try it out. The bottom line is that I am a really big fan of the Moby Wrap, and I'm writing this review for parents considering purchasing one.
For those concerned about difficulty of putting the wrap on correctly, I will say that some folks, depending on their learning style, may have some trouble. Simple solution: go to youtube and check out the many demonstration videos for all the different holds.
For those concerned about the length of the wrap, you could always put the wrap on at home, then hop in the car and head to your destination. I often do this when I'm short on time or when the weather's bad. If you tie yours in the back and would prefer not to drive around with a knot of fabric poking you in the back, just leave the last knot untied until you arrive at your destination. Additionally, the only parts that MIGHT touch the ground during the tying process are the ends, which do not touch your baby, so no worries!
So what happens if you don't love your Moby? Gently used Moby Wraps sell on ebay and craigslist for $20 - $30! Resale value is pretty impressive compared to most baby gear, so don't balk at the $40 price tag. It's definitely worth every penny. I carry my son around just about everywhere (church, shopping, park, zoo, etc...) and I know you'll enjoy yours, too.

Best baby carrier ever!!This is one of the least expensive baby carriers and it is perfect from the early newborn stage until the baby is too heavy to be worn anymore. It supports the baby sleeping, like a sling, in the beginning, then can be used like the baby bjorn with the child facing you with extra head support as they grow, and finally it is the best way to shop with an older baby (4 months and up) facing out in the wrap with legs hanging down.
It takes a little time to get the hang of wrapping it, but there's a great instructional video on YouTube and once you figure it out you will wonder how you ever did without it!
I love love love my Moby Wrap!!
I purchased my moby wrap after seeing a mom with one while shopping at a garage sale. I had not had my baby yet and was looking for and alternative to the slings I was seeing in the stores. What a great product!! It came with an instruction manual that gives great directions and shows many ways to wrap your baby! I used mine very consistanly for the first 6mths with my daughter because she did not like being in the car seat or stroller if we were not in the car moving. So anytime we were in the mall or store or going for walks I strapped her to me with the moby wrap and she loved it!! Now she is 11mths and likes to move a lot so we dont use it as much but I still feel like we got our moneys worth!! I will be passing mine on and will be sure to recommend it to other new moms!!
i <3 the moby!!!
Seriously this is perhaps one of the best purchases I made for my baby. He is 7 months and still goes in it often. It is easy to put on. If you have any issues find a video on youtube and it will help...but honestly the step by step instructions that came with it were sufficient for me. In the first few months I think it helped me keep a bit of sanity...each time i put him in it he would fall asleep. I have recommended this to every expectant parent I know. It washes well. It does stretch after wearing it for a couple days but i just tie it tighter or wash it and dry it and it goes back to its original size.
There are so many fantastic baby carriers out there but if you plan on being a "baby-wearer" this is one to seriously consider even if you will only use it the first few months.
Easy on the Back
I have really enjoyed my moby wrap. It keeps the baby close and secure, this was especially important when my son was a tiny newborn and strangers would come up to touch him in his infant carrier! The wrap is comfortable to use and easy on the back. I have carried him for long distances without any problems. One other nice feature is that the wrap allows the baby's legs to hang free, which makes my active son happy since he still has freedom of movement.
I would never try put it on in a place that had questionable floors (the wrap is so long that it will drag on the ground when you are putting it on), which means that it is virtually impossible to put on in a public place. If we are using it that day, I have to put the wrap on at home and wear it for the entire day (if I want to take him in and out of it). However, even with those small issues, I would highly recommend the wrap to anyone.
Outstanding
Me and my wife bought the moby and it was great. My little girl was comfortable, so comfortable that she did not fuss. I had here in there for hours and she actually went to sleep in it. The wrap does not put any stress on one area of your body. It distrubutes the weight of the baby. OUTSTANDING PRODUCT.

Moby wrapI heard great things about the Moby Wrap. I love the concept of being hands free, however, the product is a bit pricey, the material feels heavy once it's on and on hot days it's too much to have on (so probably better for winter born babies), compared to the baby bejourn, I perfer the bejourn.
Love this wrap!
I adore my Moby Wrap! The color is a very pretty grey with just a hint of light blue in the edging. The wrap is light weight, cotton, slightly stretchy, and very comfy! I love that this wrap allows for many hold-styles, and adjusts so that nearly any size person can use it, and tiny newborns up through toddlers can be carried in it. It also folds up small so it is easy to store and carry, and is much easier to maneuver in tight spaces or crowded places than a stroller. Plus I feel like I get a better workout when I wear my son in this on walks. :) Not too warm in summer, because the cotton breathes. It did take me a few tries to realize that the panels which sit under the baby's legs (this is especially true for me in the front-facing carry) need to be spread really wide, or he sits lopsided; it might help to have someone help you when you first try a Moby Wrap out.
Great product
I really like this wrap, and so does my son! I just got it last week, and have used it 3 times now. My husband helped me put it on the first time, as it looks a little intimidating, but had no problems putting it on by myself the other times! I took the recommendations of other reviewers and put it on before leaving the house, for ease of use and for sanitary reasons (you dont want this dragging on the ground and then wrapping baby up in it!). So far Ive taken baby to the mall, and to the movie theaters and he loves being close and snuggly to me. This has also been great to use around the house because my son like to be held a lot, and I am able to put him in the moby and get some things done. I am glad I got this wrap- almost didnt because of the fabric length, and it seemed a little bit intimidating- but it is easy to get the hang of, and there are online videos that can help and it comes with a booklet also. GREAT WRAP!!!
Its soft and comfortable to wear.
I bought this baby carrier when my daughter was 3 1/2 months. I had recently tried the Baby Bjorn breathable baby carrier but my daughter never liked it too tight. I decided to try a wrap instead, it was also cheaper. When I first tried it i notice it was pretty long and found out later that there is smaller ones for this brand. It took my daughter a few times to get used to it. I guess because she is not used to being confined in one place. I would recommend to used this wrap for newborns... I also notice that it wasn't complicated to wrap it. However, my baby gets really hot in this, so i must keep her in very little clothing. Overall, This product is good for newborns.
Lifesaver
I love this wrap and so does my baby. I have a very fussy baby who needs to be held all the time. With this wrap I can wear my baby and have both arms free. Unlike slings and other baby carriers I've tried this wrap keeps my baby close to my body. It is also very comfortable to wear and doesn't hurt my back. It is a little difficult to get on in the beginning until you get used to it. There is a lot of material to work with but once you get the hang of it it's wonderful. This is a real life saver for parents of fussy high-needs babies.

Not worth $44I bought this because a friend raved about & said how badly she would love to have it so I decided to give this a try! I bought this one because it was uv protected & the tan color wouldn't get too hot!! I tried several times to wrap it & get it like they had on the video & the instruction booklet but I just couldn't get it! I couldn't tie it in the front due to my larger size after birth & tying it in the back left too much hanging! Not to mention how HOT we both were in this thing in February!! I'd hate to use this in the spring or summer months!! I haven't tried using it for my son now that he's 5 months! I gave up on this & I'm out $44!! I just use a baby carrier (not a wrap or sling) instead!
Great Stretchy Wrap!
The Moby is a great stretchy wrap. It's no longer recommended for the back carry, but all other carries work great! I've done the hip carry with my almost 3 year old, and the others with my 3 month old. I wish it was a little bit lighter-weight, as it's getting pretty warm in FL already, but my daughter loves being close, and this allows hands free snuggling. Don't forget to check on your baby often, and follow the booklet instructions on baby placement for optimal protection from suffication! When worn properly, this is one of the safest tools to use to wear your baby!
Amazing wrap!
Once you read through the instruction booklet, tying the wrap was really easy to do. And after a couple of practice runs getting my little one in there, it turned out to be really easy to use. My girl was able to fall asleep while I held her in there which was nice for when we were out and about and even just doing things around the house. The wide straps allow for maximum comfort and because the fabric stretches out across the shoulders, it helps relieve some of the strain on the back.
love it
Wish i had gotten this with my first son. It looks difficult at first but i quickly got the hang of it. My baby loved being snuggled so close and i felt safe there was no way he could fall out. This is great for people with newborns and babies that want to be held all the time. Its much easier on your back than the other carriers i've tried, and there aren't any buckels that can dig into you.
BEST Baby Carrier
We had a trip to England with our 2 youngs children (5-months and 20-months). We took a McLaren stroller for the older child and this for the youngest. My wife loved this - it supported her back well, felt comfortable, and allowed her a full range of motion (climbed the 100 steps in Whitby with no problems). It was cold when we were there, and the extra body heat from mom-to-baby was great. There are NO metal clasps on this, so she could "wear" the baby straight through the metal detectors at the airports and security checkpoints at the palace, etc.
I won't lie - men shouldn't wear this. Men look dumb wearing any baby carrier, and this is no exception. Please, please, please - wives of the world, just let your husband carry the baby. It might be easier to wear this, but it is not worth the embarasment!
Regardless, this is the BEST carrier/sling/etc available. We've bought just about every one of them out there - front loaders, back packs, slings. None are even comparable.

Isildur1, and the Search for the Biggest Game Around
With a home screen name borrowed from a character in J.R.R. Tolkein's The Lord of the Rings , it only took the player known as "Isildur1" a few short weeks to become the act of his own mythological saga.
Arriving relatively unannounced among the highest stakes games on Full Tilt Poker, Isildur1 was momentarily seen challenging the game's biggest names in heads-up pot-limit Omaha and no-limit hold'em, including Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies, Cole South, Brian Townsend, and David Benyamine. Midst ongoing speculation regarding Isildur1's identity , the story took an historic turn last weekend when he and Patrik Antonius played out a apart hand of $500/$1,000 pot-limit Omaha that resulted in the largest ever pot in online poker history .
Following a series of preflop raises, the put together got all of Isildur1's chips in the middle on the flop with Antonius holding a five-high straight and Isildur1 holding a wrap leave a employ to a better straight. Isildur1's card didn't come, and in a flash $1,356,946.50 slid across the virtual felt to Antonius. That connivingly broke the record for the largest online pot ever by nearly half a million dollars, a record set by Isildur1 and Antonius in another PLO convenient just five days before.
