Pretty good for it's priceSomebody would have to help you to adjust this thing and once you adjust it you better leave it , because it'd hard to readjust. So this item is for one parent to wear only. I can not wear it for too long - it makes my shoulders hurt.
Poorly Designed
This is the only carrier we have tried so far, but it is terrible. It is almost impossible to get the baby in there yourself. It takes a team effort. There are so many clips and they are really hard to clip into place. The last time we used it, one of the ones on the back just simply would not come undone and I had to loosen everything and pull it up over my head in the airport. It was a mess. My son seemed okay in it, but it looked uncomfortable. There is really no comfortable place for his arms. And if you do face him out, away from you, there is cloth in his face (that would have been behind his head) and there is a tiny little snap that is meant to fold that down so that he can see, but it doesn't hold in place and then it pops back up into his face. One more problem, it BARELY fits around my husband's waist. He is a big guy, but not that big, he has a 40" waist, and it must be exactly 40" - so if you or your spouse are any bigger than that, don't bother. There must be better carriers out there. Sorry Infantino!
Took a minute to figure out
The instructions with this are not very detailed so it took a minute to figure some things out. Not the best support for a heavy baby (mine is 23 lbs)I felt fine with him on front but hurt when he was on my back. I think if I had worked up to the 23 lbs gradually it probably would have helped. :) A very good deal for the price. Once you get everything positioned right it is very comfy.
Works Great Especially as Baby Get's Older
We bought Infantino Front 2 Back Rider Baby Carrier in Black and Greylast minute as we were on our way to a sporting event. We are so glad we did because it works wonderfully. I have back problems and a bigger chest and this carrier worked very nicely for me since the straps are both padded and wide. I had it on several times for a few hours at a time and it didn't hurt. It does take a few minutes to figure out how all the straps connected and the first 2 times I did have problems getting my daughter who was 3 months at the time in it quickly and easily. After a few times though it gets easier, trust me.
I recommend putting the carrier on first, then unbuckle the sides of the actual carrier part where the baby sits, put baby in then buckle the sides back up. It worked better for me when I was able to sit to put her in. Taking baby out is easiest if you can just take it off and lay them down. I used it a lot to get my oldest from the bus stop.
The little pocket in the front was great to stash her pacifier. My husband used it with our daughter on his back and both of them were comfortable. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for a comfortable carrier that will last and grow with your baby.
Big Disappointment
The straps are very complicated and dangle loosely. It's impossible to get on and off by yourself. I actually got stuck in it and thought I'd have to call for help. The clips that hold the baby to you require two hands to undo, making it impossible to hold the baby secure while undoing the straps. The only way to get him out is to lean over the couch so he can rest on it while undoing the clips. I know this is supposed to keep the clips from coming undone while walking around, but it makes it unsafe when you actually do want to open them. They should be secure but quick-release, so you can get the baby out quickly if there's an emergency. No matter what I do, there seems to be no way to position my newborn so his face isn't smashed against my chest, making me worry about suffocation.

Love this productI really love this carrier--as a mother of 4 I have tried many carriers--most of which don't fit well because of my narrow shoulders. This carrier fits fairly well--
My 2 month old loves it and sleeps and smiles in it a lot.--I use the velcro strap (like when front carrying) to cinch in the material to make it fit his body then I fold down the tie once before I tie it around my waist and it fits him perfectly with his legs out like the older babies tummy to tummy. I am very comfortable in this carrier as well and it is much cheaper than similiar items-finally affordable. Everywhere I go people stop to ask me where I got this because both of us look so comfortable. It should fit for at least 2 years to come.
Terrible for younger babies
I'm the mother of 3 children. I have considerable experience with baby carriers. I've owned half a dozen. I'm not a bulky stroller person. I have had a moby wrap, front/back carriers, slings, etc. This is my absolute least favorite for smaller babies. I keep trying it to give it a chance. My daughter is now over 13 pounds and we still can't get the thing to work, without her nearly suffocating against my chest. There is too much fabric and the child can't breath! And what's worse is this is the replacement I received for the sling that was suffocating newborns (which was recalled before my youngest was born).
The Snugli front/back carriers are much better. The Hotslings are awesome and super convenient. The sized and adjustable are both great, but be cautious of the sized ones. Some people need to go up a size from the recommended sizing. The moby is a great one too, but is a bit tricky to get the hang of because of the ties.
This may be better with much older children, but by then I'd prefer an umbrella stroller.
great product
This is a great carrier because it is a mix of two more expensive carriers the mai tai and the ergo these are 75 to 140 dollars. This one is such a great price. You can wear it 3 ways. It is easy to use and it has a cute pattern that looks like those pricey carriers. The directions are inside the carrier so you will never forget like when you use it a new way or if you have not used it in a long time like for a second child. It is very comfortable and you can tie it as tight as you want. Babywearing should be affordable and now it is with this great carrier.Infantino Wrap and Tie Baby Carrier, Black Blueberries
FREEDOM!
I have a 2 year old and a newborn so carrying my newborn daughter around is not always an option. The Wrap Tie is wonderful when I need to be active and need my hands free. I have been using this with my daughter since she was born and honestly have freedom to shop and do things like normal. I honestly like wearing my daughter instead of having her in her infant seat in the cart.
It is easy to put baby in once you get the hang of of it. It was super smart of Infantino to print instructions on tags inside the carrier. Please have someone help the first time you put baby in as recommended. It is also really easy to adjust if baby shifts after your initial tie. My daughter will shift and "uncurl" and kind of move too far down in the carrier after I start shopping for a bit. I can easily put my arm around her, untie the tie, tighten the straps, re tie and have it not be an issue.
I know Infantino has been black-listed by many people because of the Sling Rider. I am not here to defend them or condemn them but this is a decent priced carrier. It is well made and comfortable to use.
comfortable for me but not so much for baby!
I have only used this wrap a few times! I am a large woman and love the fact that the wrap ties are long enough for me! This was a concern for me but I was happy that it fit me so well. I actually wouldn't recomend it for a smaller woman because I think she'd have to wrap it around too much and it would be bulky! My only concern is that every time I put the baby facing outward, his legs and feet turn purple. His circulation gets cut off. I have placed him towards me and this didn't happen. I don't know what the difference is, but his legs were fine while sleeping against me. I think the material may be too wide at the bottom so when facing outward, his legs are spread farther apart! I am keeping it because I think it will be good for piggy back style when he gets a bit older. For now I am just usuing it when he is sleepy and wants to snuggle mommy!

Back hurts: Only great for newbornsIt is kind of cumbersome to put on but baby seems more or less comfortable. Was great for facing in, but once she started facing out she was too heavy to carry comfortably without my back hurting so I rarely use this, only in situations where we are out and about without my husband and I think the place may be crowded and I want to keep her very close to me(people tend to want to be touchy feely with my baby)
Good carrier
My baby and I have enjoyed this carrier. It might take a while to get used to putting it on correctly, but overall it's been pretty comfortable for both of us. The baby especially enjoyed sitting with her face out. My back, however, hurt when the baby reached 16 lb so I couldn't walk with it for long distances.
Don't waste your money!!!
Trust me on this. Spend the extra money and buy a better Baby carrier than this one. This hurts my back and it is sooooo uncomfortable. I used it twice and only twice. My baby and I both hates it.
Very Supportive for the Baby Head
the carrier is really great, i like that it support the baby's head, and the part that support the head can be bend so baby's face can be out
Love the hook buckle
I was a little apprehensive purchasing a carrier that is no longer featured in the maker's website. The carrier didn't come with the bib as shown in the picture. Then again the carrier box didn't explicitly state that a bib is included. Since my baby loves facing out, a bib didn't matter anyway. That aside, I love how this carrier allows me to adjust the seat height (I'm petite) so baby doesn't sit too low. I also find the hook buckles easier for one-hand operation when securing baby inside the carrier. You know what I mean when you try connecting the male and female buckle with one hand, its absolutely tricky when you are holding a squirmy baby. Two thumbs up!

Stylish and efficient!I recieved this as a babyshower gift and it's a great buy. The one I recieved came in pink and grey, and I think the company does a great job in making the carriers stylish for mom and baby. Getting to the main point though, my baby loves sitting there and it's very efficient because I can get a lot more done when I'm wearing it. I even thought that my daughter would think it was uncomfortable, but she doens't complain one bit. The only downside I would say it has is trying to figure out exactly how to adjust the straps so that the baby will be snug. Before the first time I wore it, I had to adjust so many straps to get it just right. Since then though, it's been just fine.
Can't beat it for the price
We received one of these for our son from a work colleague. We also have a $$$ Ergo Carrier. Our six-month son much prefers the Infantino to the Ergo b/c the Infantino faces outward and he can see everything around him. He complains about sitting in the Ergo and eventually falls asleep. The only advantage to the Ergo is that it is more comfortable to wear for an extended period of time.
Having a carrier is great for moms and dads around the house who need to get things done and keep the baby entertained.
Be careful with any carrier as they all must be adjusted properly to avoid falls.
Great Product!
I love this carrier! I also have a hotslings baby sling, but prefer to use this carrier (much easier on a bad back or shoulders).
I've used the babybjorn and hated it. This is great and I recently found them at a discount shop for about $10.00. I bought them for friends who are having or have just had babies...these make great gifts! :)
Cost Effective
This product meets all expectations for an infant carrier. Although there are more expensive products out there, for the limited amount of time that we will be using our carrier, we thought a more cost effective method would be the way to go. We are still waiting for our baby, but look forward to using this infant carrier in the near future.
Buckles that don't stay locked makes this a risk to baby.
[ASIN:B00013278Y Infantino Euro Rider in Khaki and Black]
Irrespective of the color and pattern, this product can easily turn dangerous when a buckle unlatches unexpectedly. I gave my daughter one of these for her baby shower. When she used it for the first time, she realized that the major buckles that secure baby did not lock. My granddaughter almost landed on the floor.
This is not an isolated case, as I read on the Target web-site that several mothers had similar experiences. Beware.

not a good carrier for a big babyI truly disappointed on this carrier. Not good for a big baby over 25lb. Very hard and complicated to use. No wonder it is cheap!
ok carrier
This is the second style of carrier we have tried. This one is a little more comfortable then the first one. It still makes my neck and shoulders hurt but I guess I've always been kind of weak in that area and get sore when carrying a back pack or anything around my neck. It is easier to get the child in and out since it completely unclips and folds down but the clips are very hard to compress to open. I bought it because you are supposed to be able to do a hip carry with it but the instructions aren't very clear on how to put it on for that. All I can tell is you just turn it to one side and maybe extend one strap if needed, but that doesn't work all that great.

Participants in last week's ASTM intersection of Cosmopolitan in cast iron discussed the concept of the "bag mode Infantino" shoot and how it could help the choking and obstructed airway. That can last for two reasons: either the baby's face is turned inward and covered with clothes from the mother or breast, or the baby is placed in an opinion where the baby falls guide to the outright airway is closed. The Infantino brand in the fire and in the box says "Meets or exceeds ASTM F2236." This guideline is free to relax sponsorship infant carriers, but this approach specifically excludes the slings. There is no ASTM standard fashion sanctuary for slings, and the labeling is very misleading. The warnings and instructions of the mark was also rubbed into the children's newspaper companies, and are irrelevant for slings.
