Convertible Car Seat
This is a great upgrade from the infant car seat. It's convertible so it can be forward facing or rear facing for any size and age. The minor spill we've had so far was easily wiped off. The cup holder is removeable for easy cleaning. I would recommend this for everyone.

a very nice convertible car seat considered the cost
i got this car seat for my 2nd car. we already have a britax marathon, and we need a lighter one for travel.

this car seat suits the purpose very well. it's very easy to install as fwd facing in my 2door sports coup.

i like the color very much. my son likes it too. the harness is easy to adjust.

the only down side is the holder cup, it keeps falling off, so i just dont use it at all.

Good value, great for airplanes.
We have twins and needed a smaller car seat for several upcoming plane trips. We bought these just for traveling and they do great. They are light weight, durable and small enough to fit in airplane seats, even the smaller puddle jumper planes. We've only used them a few times but have had no problems and it was cheaper for us to buy these seats than rent upon arrival in our destination city.

nice, inexpensive car seat
Both sets of grandparents purchased this car seat, so that they could take my daughter places. I have the Britax Roundabout, which is a lot cushier and looks a lot more comfortable, but I'm not sure that it was worth the extra $150. We need another car seat for my husband's car and I think we will buy another Cosco. It truly is a bare bones car seat, but do the kids really care? As long as the safety rating is good, which I have been told it is, I am all for it!

Not For Smaller Cars (Rear Facing)
We bought 2 of these seats for our twins for our secondary vehicle. We have Evenflo Triumph Advance DLX seats in our primary family car (2008 RAV4) and are incredibly happy with them. We just couldn't justify the expense of having a second set in a car the twins won't travel in very often at all. Needless to say we were happy to see that these were inexpensive and rated highly for safety. Due to recent research, we intend to keep our seats rear-facing for as long as possible.
Please note that these seats only have two positions! This is the key that makes them unsuitable for rear-facing in a small car. They recline so far in rear-facing position that they will not fit without the driver's seat being pushed too far forward. The intended car is a 2010 Kia SOUL. Since it's a brand new model, most people aren't familiar with how much room is packed in this small car. I am 6'2" tall and, with the driver's seat all the way back, can sit behind it and still not have my knees touch the back of the seat. It's very roomy for a small car. I was able to install our Evenflo seats in the SOUL and put the driver's seat back all but about half an inch.
We didn't have an opportunity to test the seats forward-facing. I will say that readying the seats for installation was certainly more difficult than the Evenflo Triumph, but that was to be expected at this price point. Once to that point, installing the seats in the car wouldn't have been much more difficult since we have LATCH in both vehicles.
Ultimately, since we need the second set of seats and haven't found another quality, inexpensive seat, we're finding the money to purchas the LX version of the Triumph Advance seats.

Love it, Highly Recommend....Been using with 2 kids for 2+ years.
We have our 5-year old and 2 year old both in a Graco Nautilus and have been more than happy. They both seem very comfortable, and have plenty of room, etc. We've been using at least one Nautilus since soon after they were first introduced, more than 2 years ago. That seat cover has been through the washing machine numerous times, and still looks great. I love the sturdy, built in cup holders, and my kids love the little 'toy holders' built into their arm rests. And my 5-year old still is very comfortable in her 5 point harness, which makes me feel more comfortable as well. Highly recommend.

Good car seat but a bit tricky with LATCH
We have a Britax Diplomat which was an amazing car seat, easy to install and uninstall, great for the child to nap in and compact in size. For our next car seat, we decided we wanted to spend a little less, so we decided to try the Graco Nautilus. It is a well-built seat and good value for the price but there a few flaws that make it a lot less desirable than the Britax. First of all, there is a lot less padding on the bottom, my son complains every now and then that his butt hurts, and you if you push down on the sitting area, it does feel pretty hard - it could use more cushioning. Next, when my son naps in the seat, his head flops all over the place, the seat is so upright, it is not comfortable to lay back in. Finally, it is much more difficult to install and uninstall with LATCH. The Britax had nice buckles but the Graco has cheap clips to connect to the LATCH anchors.

Great car seat!
We bought this car seat almost a year ago for our son when he turned one. After almost a year of use, I have to say that this was an excellent purchase. I have no complaints. My son is very tall for his age (at 20 months, many people mistake him for a 3 yr. old) and he has no problems fitting into the carseat. We've taken a few 7-8 hour trips and he has no trouble sleeping in the seat either. The straps are very easily adjustable and make tightening and loosening (depending on his clothing based on the season) a simple and short process. I'm trying to think of anything that is an inconvenience or I would like to change, and I can't think of a thing. If you want a safe, comfortable car seat without spending the money on a Britax, this car seat is the one to buy!

own 2 of them
I purchased the nautilus for the main car, but I planned on buying a cheaper, more basic seat for the second car that my son doesn't ride in as much. After my one year old rode in the nautilus for a couple weeks I had to buy a second Nautilus for the second car. The seat is so comfy and padded that I didn't want to have him be uncomfortable in a cheaper seat. The material on the Nautilus matrix and bravo editions(bravo is a slightly darker gray than the matrix) are very breathable and washable. The only thing I would change about this seat would be to have the strap that goes between the legs be slightly longer. It's easy to sit on it, then you have to dig for it.

It's alright for the price
I have only had this seat installed for about two weeks or so, but I'm already thinking that perhaps I would have been better off with another. My daughter is 7 months old now, and she is long for her age, but weight-wise she is average. Here are the cons of the seat that I have experienced so far:

1) The seatbelt buckle point in the center is very nice and heavy duty, but the placement is awkward. When I fasten the leg belts over her thighs and into that buckle, I have to slide 2-3 fingers underneath to make sure that her skin doesn't get caught between the plastic pieces. The pieces that buckle are literally ~on~ her thighs, and easily pinch her when closing, if I don't prevent it.

2) The "reclining positions" are made possible by a swiveling plastic platform under the seat - you can either have the platform in the back or the front section. In my minivan, neither position looks very different in terms of angle of recline than the other. I've got a towel rolled up and placed under the front section for now - I may have to roll up another one as well to keep my daughter's head from continually falling forward when she naps.

3) I don't care for the layout of the instruction booklet. You have to look in three different places before you can fully understand how to adjust the entire buckling system around your child. It's not impossible to understand, but it's a pain.

Here is what I like about the seat:

1) The fabric is great, and the padding is well made. On the whole, the produce itself is of good quality workmanship.

2) Once you figure out how to follow the instructions for adjusting the seatbelt system, actually manipulating it is fairly easy. Other products require some wrestling to get the belts where you want them - this seat is fairly simple.

All in all, I would probably not buy this seat again, nor recommend it to others. But for the price, the produce is livable.

Good bargain, good car seat.
We got this as a second car seat, and I'm satisfied with it for the price but if we had paid more I would have returned it.

My daughter seems comfortable in it, and I love that at 18mths she's only on the second of 4 shoulder strap settings and the first of 2 lap settings. It seems like it might have been too roomy if she had been much younger though.

Flaw #1: The cup holder is cheap and flimsy, and completely useless to us as the ring folds down when she tries to get her cup into it. I wouldn't trust a fast food cup in it at all.

Flaw #2: this is actually a major irritation to me - the big red release button for the harness takes 2-3 tries for both my husband and I to open, which gets old when you're running to several places and keep having to fight with it. Her other car seat manages to be difficult for her to press while easy for our thumbs to get it on the first try.

Flaw #3: there isn't a lot of room in the strap loosening space. I've got a cut on the top of my thumb from pulling it out too quickly.

Flaw #4: The most important flaw is that even when I put my knee in the seat with all my weight on it (over 180 pounds) and tighten the anchors as much as I can it still lifts off the seat. It's good and steady when shaken side to side, but there is a disturbing amount of give when I lift the front. I've installed many car seats without this being a problem, but am concerned enough that I am taking this one to be inspected. If they can fix the issue for me I'll point it out in the review.

For the most part these are minor flaws, mostly irritations rather than actual problems, and this is a great car seat. My daughter doesn't complain when she's in it or show any signs of discomfort.

Especially considering the price it is a great deal.

Great Price! Easy shopping!
I purchased this with the comments of other customers in mind, plus my daughter received one as a shower gift. The color is so cute - purple rocks! The seat cushions remove to clean easily and offer a little more plushness to the seat itself. Reading the instruction book, I was disappointed to learn that the seat should NOT be used in the 'recline' position when the seat faces forward, so this allows for the baby's head to fall foward when asleep. I realize this is a safety issue, so I imagine comfort will have to suffer. I really appreciate the FAST shipment of my order - three days!! That is service!! I don't know that we'll use the 'cup holder' attachment - perhaps a mesh pocket on the sides would have worked better.

For $52.00 straight up shipped...this was a damn bargain!
It has more padding then the Cosco Scenera for about the same price. It also can be adjusted to recline. It has high sides also and tested well in crash test. I would recommend it highly at this price point. I want my girl to be comfrortable without her head flopping forward well sleeping, which evidently happens in the Scenera.

Well Thought Out System
Good quality product, constructed in such a way as to give you confidence in its ability to keep your baby safe. Very convenient, especially if you buy one for each car you own (and of course, the grandparents' car). Being the grandparent I had never seen this latch system before, and I must say, I like it a lot better than having to use the seat belt to secure the base.

Love it
I am a first time mom and was torn between a convertible and infant car seat. In the end I got the Graco Milan as a gift and I'm glad I let someone else make the decision for me. This is a GREAT car seat. My son sleeps so comfortably in it whether in the car, stroller, or at home. I also recently moved from the Hot West Coast to the Cold East Coast and experienced my first snow storms. The boot that comes with the Milan was perfect to keep my infant warm in the short distances from vehicle to destinations. The color is also attractive and I don't see many like it on the streets. I also highly recommend any parent to make sure they get a base, I had mine installed by our local Police Department and never had to take it out so I can just snap the main car seat in and out and rest assured that my baby is safe.

Great Value
Bought this here after shopping in brick and mortar stores, and I could not be more pleased with the value of this item. The car seat works great and we have already taken our little baby out to stores and also to the park, using another Graco stroller frame we had. She does sleep like a baby in this seat. It fits well in shopping carts, and it could not be any easier to get her in and out of the car with the included base. Very simple and secure. Plus it looks nice and the canopy works well.

Great car seat, easy to use
We're very happy with this car seat. The Inman Park model has rear-adjust straps for the harness (seat belt) that holds the infant in place. (We wanted to get the front-adjust harness, but the only models with that feature came with ugly fabrics.) The rear-adjust harness has actually worked fine, and everything else about the car seat is great. It's easy for my husband to carry the car seat with our son (about 9 lbs now) in it; I can do so, too, but it's a little heavy for me so I prefer to put the car seat in the Graco snap-and-go stroller frame. The Inman Park fabric is more green than blue, so it's relatively gender neutral.
